RE: Help!!! I'm tired of this!!!
I have a Tornado S-30 that had the same problems. It sits, unused, since last lummer, on a shelf in my bedroom closet now. Ran it for a week after properly breaking it in, and the engine was just messed up. It wouldnt even tune in properly. I took it to a shop here in town and they couldn't even get it tuned up properly. The TX and RX were both crap as well. I think they need to either scrap their garbage engines and replace them with high quality ones, or stop selling RTR models[:@]

Yes, noise can sometimes be an issue where I fly at too, but we try to keep our flying hours limited to when most folks are still at work, or weekends when people just really don't care too much. People hardly ever go to thfield where this incident happened though, except when there's an outdoor concert or something.

RE: Airplanes and Pepper Spray...
Well, see, I explained that in my police report that there was no way I was going to be able to pose a threat to this woman. It seems to me that the longer I spend flying my models, the harder it is for my attention to be drawn elsewhere, so how am I going to drop my TX, do whatever they were implying I did to her, and the pick it up and land the plane. Makes no sense to me, but hopefully they catch the old bag and charge her with assault. I went out of my way to be polite with her, and maybe help her understand a little about the hobby and that is what I got. Ball diamonds are great places to fly as well, there is one in town where I sometimes go to fly my Rex, or practice STOL's with a few of my smaller models. Haven't been there recently to see the place but I imagine it is still there. All the places we use to fly at are being developed into residential areas now, so good flying spots are harder to come by.

RE: Banana Hobby
Before you buy from BH, or give them repeat business, here is a little something you might want to take a look into. This is straight off the Better Business Bureau website. Company Rating F Our opinion of what this rating means: We strongly question the company’s reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the law’s licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the company’s industry is known for its fraudulent business practices. http://www.la.bbb.org/Business-Report/Banana-Hobby100075745 This is the link to where you can see this report as well. Not sure if it will work, but you can search it if you want otherwise. There are lots better places to get your jets from, and usually at cheaper rates too. I buy mine wholesale straight from China, and I usually get 3 or more for the same price that BH sells one.

HL Tiger Metal Track Mod Question...
After being away from the hobby, in order to sort out some personal matters, I decided tonight to finally install the metal tracks on my HL Tiger 1. I removed the wheel from the rear using a Philips head driver as required, split the wheel to remove the screw and upon trying to fit the screw into the metal wheel, I found that it does not fit. Here are the pics of the screw and inside half of the metal wheel as they stand now. Any advice on how to solve this matter will be greatly appreciated.

I like that photo you got up there. I am just wondering if you can tell me where I can get CMPro models in Canada though. I have been looking all over the place and no such luck. Would like to avoid buying from across the border if at all possible. I have this thing about the post man asking for money when he shows up at my door with my packages lol...[:)]

RE: MSR not turning left
I have the exact same problems with mine, as do a few other folks I know that have the MSR. Not sure what causes the problem because I have it trimmed really well and it will hover hands free. I overcome the issue by using alot of left aileron when I want to go to the left at high speed, but it's just not the same. I checked the tail rotor and it is on right as well. Maybe a problem that E-Flite needs to be made aware of.

Wooden Boat Build......
I just got my hands on a Tramontana Llaud Mallorquin kit. It's a really nice boat and I can't wait to get started on the build. The only problem is that the parts for the keel are missing and I am wondering if anyone knows where I can get the parts as they don't make this kit anymore. Also, if anyone knows what kind of wood the parts were made from, I could get some of that instead and fabricate my own parts from it. My online search is yielding no results. Any help would be great. Thanks.

RE: Which eflite model will fly a beer to my neighbor?
ORIGINAL: The8thWonder LOL! All good points! I wonder if some there is a less expensive model than the 400 that could lift the weight. Lets say that we would like to lift a beer can attached underneath by a 4 ft cord with a release mechanism. Is it even possible to release a teathered beer remotely? I have seen some clips of rc hellicopters lifting things and once the item starts to swing then the hellicopter gets hard to control.
Well there are some really good cheaper T-Rex clones out there. snhobbies has a few but I have never tried any of them but from what I hear, and the vids I have seen, they are pretty good. As far as a remote drop, you can rig something up pretty easy, you will just need an available channel and a servo to use as the release mechanism. I have a coaxial chinook heli with 4 rotors on it, I will try and lift a beer with that tonight. It has ALOT of lift but what I would be worried about it the weight shifting the trim of the heli and causing a rotor strike. Start small, maybe there is a keg lift in your future yet[:D]

We also need to keep in mind that Eflite heli's tend to be a little shaky on landings at times.......... Maybe a Rex would be a better idea?

I agree, damaged beer is a crime against humanity. The question I ask here is: How good is the pilot of said heli? And can he/she land a loaded chopper without killing the goods? I wonder if it should be practiced with a less valuable commodity onboard first????
ORIGINAL: The8thWonder hello all. I have been flying indoor helis for awhile now and like the eflite brand. I would like to get an eflite heli that can fly outside and be able to lift a full beer can! A beer can wieghs 1.1 lbs. Any ideas on if this is possible? If it is then what model is best suited for this? Thanks!
I would have to say the Blade 400 would do it without any problems at all. I lifted a 2 litre bottle of pop with mine so a beer can wont be a problem at all.[:D]

RE: Driving your tank in public, reactions?
Ya, I hear ya there. We don't have kids around my apartment complex, until I pull out my tanks and other assorted RC delights. They really love it and I like seeing them walk away happy after I shoot some targets, or take a sick jump with one of my stadium trucks, maybe even do some 3D flying in the parking lot. This morning I even let a few of them try out my HL Tiger 1. Kids are the future of our sport and they need to be exposed to it as early as they can be or we might risk losing them to the horrible world of computers[:)] lol jk

Wow, looks great. I'm gonna take a closer look at this when I get more time. I don't see how you can go wrong for 95 bucks, especially if you get 3300 SFX and all the equipment you need to run the system. Am I imagining things or does that apple have a USB plug sticking outta the bottom? Now if only the SNOW would go away.............. It's hindering my ability to let my Tiger out

What a load of BS, I have seen the exact same jet for sale in other shops right here in Canada just under a different label. BH, seems more like BS to me..............[:'(] All he has going for him, other than his rediculously outrageous prices, is that he is a half decent pilot.
