menace 21
right ok iv got a menace 21 hear at home at im mega pissed off at it , i have stripped 3 sets of gears all because the gear cover on the bloody car doesnt work as it should, the plastic is like china you touch it and it breaks its stuped , so now all this is alloy but my biggest problem is that i have a new engine a 28 picco and the mounts are totaly all wrong , is there a big block kit out there or not ? becuase this model is soo stuiped nothing is the same to other models as in engine mounts and clutchs and bearings, whats the reason to using crappy thunder tiger engines and cheap china plastic ? can any one help me resolve the problems or am i going to have to set it on fire and crap on the ashes ?

RE: Tuning in COLD
if you have fuel coming out of the exhust then its really rich . it wont damage the engine at all but your performace will suffer . start it up and turn the hsn clockwise about half a turn

RE: Is there really a big difference????
ORIGINAL: dewberryb I did the same looking when I bought my first rc that was not mugen or serpent. What I found out is this. Check your LHS! See what they carry parts for. I see a handfull of redcats run at the local track. Most show up run their redcat for a few minutes and break something and leave. I see parts break on redcats that don't break on name brand RCs. HPI makes crap too! Traxxas is allright not the greatest though! If you want something highend that comes with all the hop-ups and ready to race look into the below namebrands. Losi Assosiated Mugen is awsome! Jammin XRAY
yeah im with him on that thouse makes above are the expensive ones and the really good ones (for racing) all the pros use em

RE: Is there really a big difference????
well parts are hard to get hold off there are no hop ups for them and no coustomer care nothing and the engines are crap and radio is cheap and tacky. but if you go for a well known brand like traxxas you get a brillant product and a engine WITH a warrenty and extremly good build and good meterials used and the radio is great and loads and loads of hop ups for all the models . well known brands are better- but they will cost more but worth it in the long run ni known brands are rubbish - might be cheap but dont think your getting a bargin becuase your not

RE: Fuel not getting to the carb when priming. Whats the symptom?
sounds like theres dirt in the hsn tap or theres a crack in the fuel tank or split fuel line . for a cracked tank - block off the ends with fuel line so no fuel can come on or out . and put it in a bowl of water and see if bubbles come out the thank and fuel line replace if you have some new fuel line and for the hsn take the carb compelty and flush it though about 6-8 times and rebuild and see if that works (make sure all tapes are tight)
