RE: EASY TIGER Problems??
Don't expect any follow up from Easytiger. If you order and do receive your model and some part may be missing, Easytiger will not help you get it. They will promise continually but actually take no action. My advice, look for other alternatives.

RE: Top Flite Contender .60 inverted engine question
Charlie P. I would like to say. VERY PRETTY MODEL!!! I have one question? How did you get that EXCELLENT TINT on you CanopyDUDE?? I LIKE IT!!, and would, WANT TO add that to my next Contender! Was it difficult? Could yould you you send me DETAILS, "PLEASE" my e-mail is njlss5@aol.com. I would also like as many picture of you plane as possible for my collection. As I stated in an earlier post the Contender is one of my Pations. Has been since I was around 13 when I first feel in love with them before I could fly them. Unfortunately my first request for pics went unaswered (SHAME) It was a nice too. How I do like collecting nice pictures when I can. I like you nose gear setup! Same as mine! Can't be a FULTS!! Especially on grass. You didn't state your engine model or size, my big one is running a Magnum FS 91. I have pic's on Bucketlist but haven't been able to figure out how to transer them yet. My lack of compuer skills showing through, unfortunately. Well hope you send the the pics and info. Maybe share it with the rest?? Thanks Nevin G17Staggerwing

RE: Top Flite Contender .60 inverted engine question
Hello HG! I must first say that is one extremely COOL COLOR SCHEME on that there CONTENDER!! One of the nicest I have ever seen!! Hey Doog-meister I would greatly appreciate it if you would send me some more pictures of your plane. My e-mail address is njlss5@aol.com. I would like to add them to my collection if you wouldn't mind. Now as for the size of the FULTS landing gear, 4" is the one you would use. The 7" would be for a really large size airplane. and the 3.5" would be more for a 40 size plane. Sixe mounting the engine sounds like a nice alternative. It is definitely a lot less work, and it does have its positive aspects especially with a bum engine that doesn't like to run inverted! I personally like the addition of a glow driver for that extra piece of mind. It doesn't cost much, doesn't add much wait to the plane and definitely keeps the fire going on low throttle when you need it the most! Nevin

RE: Top Flite Contender .60 inverted engine question
I am a Contender ADVOCATE!! It is my Favorate Sport Plane!! I have my 40 size setup with an Enya 4 stroke 41 in the nose inverted also with tricycle landing gear. It is not hard to modify the top section where the engine bay usually is. Just follow the fuselage lines out and gentle roll the edges into the spinner at the front. But make sure to have enough area around the engine head and through the engine bay, front to back for engine cooling! This is very important or the engine will overheat and lean out on you in the air and die. Setting up the nose wheel isn't hard either, but it does take some planning. I highly recommend using a FULTS DUAL STRUT NOSE GEAR. That is my personal preference. They are much stronger then a single strut, and they will outlast a single strut!! Plus I have found that they track truer especially if you fly of grass. I also have a Magnum 91 4 Stroke in my large Contender. I have 4 Original RED BOX kits put away and I have 4 of the new release kits. So when it comes time for another Contender project I will give one of the new versions a try. Like I said I am a Contender LOVER!! I am always looking to purchase a Vintage Red Box Kit for my collection. Enjoy you build, and definitely enjoy you plane!! They are definitely one of the easiest and most fun airplanes I ever had!! Best regards Nevin G17Staggerwing

Unfair Negative Feedback Rating Given
Hello,, I would appreciate it if you would check into a negative feed back rating that I was give for a transaction that was just completed on 4/08/10. First of all let me say I have 107 transaction with 100% Positive feedback. This negative was given over a $1.60 discrepency in shipping! I recieved an invoice for the total amount due of $30.00 + $$6.99 for shipping for a grand total of $36.99 which I paid through Paypal. A little while later I receive an e-mail requesting an additional $1.60 for shipping costs. Now I know this item could have easily been sent via Small Flat Rate Box for $4.95. I found the shipping costs to be excessive So I declined to pay the additional amount. He sent me another e-mail stating that if I did not want to pay the remaining amount it was OK and he would REFUND my money. No mention of any NEGATIVE FEEDBACK was INDICATED, was SUGGESTED! The following is the e-mail that was sent by him to me stating that he would gladly give me a refund. hi, I did not receive the remaining balance $1.60 you don't want to pay no problem let my know I will give you a refund - Original Message - From: *********** To: ******************* Sent: Wednesday, April 07, 2010 4:07 AM Subject: Notification of payment received Apr 7, 2010 04:06:51 Hello *****************, You received a payment of $36.99 USD from ****************** hanks for using PayPal. RE: Airplane and car/truck models at the same field?
At our "Modelers' Park" in Riverton, see post and pictures above, we have three car areas, off-road track, rock climbing range and a paved/banked on-road track. At the flying field we have a 450 x 50 main and 350 x 50 crosswind paved runways and a 600 x 50 sprinkled grass runway. We lease the 26 acres from the City of Riverton who leases the land from the Honor Farm prison. It is a good working relationship. The membership is single. It is not two different clubs. We have a number of members who both drive and fly. We also have a sailing group that uses a public lake along a natural walking path. They sail with "one class" boats. RE: Sig Kougar or Top Flite Contender
the newer version has a biult up tail an a couple of other newer building modifications. The older version was just a slab stab and rudder. I personally do not plan on building the old ones as they are collectors items. So my next one will be one of the new ones. I do however plan on taking the plans and blowing them up about 150% to about a 10' wing span version. Now that should be something awsome! OH TO DREAM!!!!

The contender is my FAVORITE! I have six kits in my attic. They are fantastic flyers and I love the way they look. Most of mine are the original red box but I have several newer versions also. I would recommend flying it with at least a 60+ 2stroke, I fly mine with a 90 4 stroke. which ever you choose have FUN!!! Regards Nevin G17Staggerwing

RE: thinning z-poxy
There are several articles on using finishing epoxy thinned with 40% denatured alcohol as a glassing method on aircraft and boats. In fact I am planning on using that method with an airplane project I am presently working on. As the other gentleman stated I wouldn't thin out the epoxy if I were using it for strength area either, but as a saturating method to applying fiberglass cloth it is excellent. I think your problem lies with the wrong alcohol type. The article also states that after you have completed you glassing to us a light weight household spack to fill any pin holes with.
