ok thanks tripper for the ideas. I will get more of the 4000mah packs once I get her running right. Im only slapping the 2848 3900kv motor in because I have one just laying around. Other then that I have a few spare tacon 2858 2630kv motors but i think these would be a little bit long to fit under the canopy. Whats the best motor and prop combo for these things while using 3s lipos. I also have 4s lipos but i think these would be to quick for it. Itsafishi has run one of his on a 4s and it humms along but i think its far to quick to be practical. Tripper can we set brake with the hk300 to make the motor slow down slowly with a boat esc? I can do it with my car though. SO keen to get this project under way. Pretty sure my surfer was shipped today.

thanks so much tripper. Just ordered a hk 190-200 boat esc and a 3a ubec from the HK aussie wharehouse. Do you think my zippy 3s 4000mah lipos will fit in it? I have a few of them. Do you think the little 2848 3900kv would handle a 4s? Anyways I will have to wait to see when it gets here whats going on with it as im just going off what others have been saying. I will be using the hk300 tx and rx combo. Should be able to dial it right in with this tx.

Hey guys, Im from Australia and I just purchased the venom bondi surfer girl. I was wondering if this is the same or a direct copy of the NQD surfing lisa. I got it cheap at $100 posted. I have a SL2848 3900kv motor to put in it and ether a 55amp (no cooling) or a 70amp (water cooled) escs to put into it. I have ordered some parts from rcsurfrider.com. I got the motor coupler and single fin mod and some other things. Will this single fin mod work on the venom version? I will also do the JIMI reverse rocker tail mod as well. Looks like this is a must do for the NQD surfing lisa to stop it skipping like a stone on the water. I cant wait to get it now and ill put up some footage as soon as I can. Is there any other current threads on rc surfers out there? thanks Brendon.

yeah the idiot was going to give me a point for me quoting for what you said. PM me in here what you want me to remove and ill delete it ok mate no probs. It flies so crisp and clean and I love it and its only on a 2s.

whats been going on wif u mr meebo. Ive got me brushless parts coming from hawk rc. HP05s and esc. Got all the xtreme alu parts coming too. Got 5 1s 550mah hyps the other day. So im all set to go brushless on the mcpx. Should be some funsies. I looked at the rcthruth page and they just bitch about em I swear nothing will get done about it as a result.

I sold the micro slick and my rc car and some other stuff to get this umx sbach. It looks like MRturbopaker aka Joel has put this micro sbach through its paces and he has clocked it at about 84 KPH with a GWS 5030 prop and hyperion lipos on it. Cant wait to fly this little bird. After all the hassle I had with hobbyking over this micro slick I wont be using them again. I have enough birds to fly for now. Soon I will have the motor shaft for my eflite park 480 motor and I can get my hyperion snyper X II in the air again. Hopefully this time she will have a bit more grunt. BTW meebo while I was at the LHS I got some parts to make my mcpx like new again. So I think I will leave her as is and start practising more flips and inverted. So if she gets trashed I have the parts to make her new again. BTW guys its one more sleep till I can post in my own thread again. We should have a welcome back flight session on the sims. I know BJ thinks im prolly mad for spending $190, yes that was $190 on this little sbach when I could of got a PA or something like that. But if it flies like my umx beast then im going to have so much fun with it and if I dont ill flog it off like others. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I so need to fix the rear bear and give it another blurt. That thing is just flipping amazing! She needs some paint though.

well I finally did it BJ I took the rare bear out for a maiden. Had a bit of a wayward take off but she got in the air after a while. I used an underhand throw. I used full elevator down and I think it was to much cause she almost climbed and flipped again. You will see in the video anyways. WOW is this thing fast. Im seriously so impressed with how fast it is. I wonder how much faster it would be on a 4s. That TGS 5x5 prop worked out ok. I went to the LHS and got a APC 5x5 and a 6x5 prop. I might try the 6x5 prop on her next time. I really need to go up to the masive park next time so she can stretch her legs. I had a bit of a miscalculated landing though and part of the wing tip and elev stab tore off. I will show you in the pictures. What would be the best way to fix this mate? I also slapped a 4.1x4.1 APC prop on my parkjet and chucked in a 3s 1000mah nanotech lipo and WOW it was quick as well. Its not as quick as the rarebear but its alot quicker then it was on a 2s. It seems more stable with the increase in speed. Hopefully that prop will be ok with a 2s as well so I can run ether a 2s or 3s lipo. This parkjet is allot more fun to fly now and not so boring. I just have to learn how to land these birds more successfully. After another two flights with my microslick this morning I have decided to sell it. It flies like poo. Even after tweaking the control rods to allow more throw and using both hyperion and intellect lipos its still a dog to fly. It doesnt even compare to the um suhkoi. I think it flies about the same as my old um p51. Dont buy this plane guys its terra bad. BUDS one got totally trashed in the packing of it and I think hes going to send it back like I should of as well. Well it was to windy to go for a fly but I took the micro slick out for a maiden anyways. It flies much like the um suhkoi xp. Its super twitchy. I wasnt that impressed with the speed of it although it was fighting the wind most of the time. I will try some 3D with it when its a calmer day. well its 3am and I cant sleep so I got my fleet all ship shape to go flying in a few hours. I put the 4.15x4.15 prop on my parkjet and made an adaptor plug so I can use ether a JST or XT60 connector. Its geared up for my 3s 1000mah nano tech lipos now. Should be alot faster. Put the lipo all the way to the back and the CG feels good. Ill have to run some amp test when its a more reasonable hour as it hums along nicely. I should be able to use ether a 2s or 3s on it now. Not sure if this prop will have enough punch for a 2s though but theres only one way to find out. I just have to learn how to land her a bit better. I normally come in too hot. I made a few more mods to the durafly micro slick 3d and added a canopy magnet to it and she closes tight as a drum now. Its actually quite hard to pull the canopy off now. I checked that my 2 x 1s = 2s lipo lead works and it does. I put 2 x 240mah 1s hyp lipos with the lead and theres only a 1g difference to the stock zippy 180mah 2s lipos you are meant to use. I also took off the stock spinner and replaced the prop with a 5030 so I can get a bit more run time out of her. Some say shes slower then the sbach but the proof will be in the pudding. I pulled out my hawk 80 3d foamy and slapped a gws 10x6 prop on it and used the new rubber bands I got and shes tight as on there now. Fixed up one of the control arms. Put some velcro on there so I can mount my lipo. She should be set to go now finally. Just have to find the right CG for her. The rare bear is still good to go. Just hope these props I got will give it enough thrust. I slapped some velcro on the backs of my nano tech lipos so I can mount them on various aircraft. Im hoping to get some good footage for you guys. Should be alot of fun. I just hope I can get this rare bear in the air finally. Anyways just waiting for the rest of my lipos to charge and for the sun to come up now and Ill be off for a fly.

well despite of all of whats been going on I had the arvo off so I decided to bite the bullet and just put the durafly slick together. I used some carbon fiber rods to make the stabs straight again. There rock solid now. Also changed over the servo arms so it has longer throw. I just have to work out the right CG for it now. I chucked a TGS prop on the rare bear as well. I think it was pulling 190 odd watts. I hope this will be enough to fly it. It was well under the amps. Ive got a 40a turnigy plush esc on this bird so it should be fine. I was hoping to work up to a 4s lipo in the future. It makes a racket at full revs. Anyways charging lipos now. Should be able to have a great flight in the morning. Feeling way better today. guys like I said im involved in a PRIVATE gaming community where each member pays monthly fees. We have our own forums. I could ask my clan leader to make a private section for us to post in if you want. But my clan leader would need all our usernames to add them to the admin. But I want to know if you guys would be interested in this. As I really dont want to go bothering him for no reason. I might be able to bride him to get this done for us ok. Im really on the pushing point of just chucking the whole hobby in. HK really get under my skin. Its starting not to become fun for me anymore. well it looks like the clowns have some 5x5 and a 6x5.5 prop down there but they couldnt get my shaft. Shame I have no money at the moment. I went down stairs and was messing around with my mcpx and this little kid was walking past and I lost concentration and bingo into the cement. Busted off blades grips. Lucky these are still the original blade grips on it. I put the new blade grips on it, the ones HH sent everyone and it seems to take some of the slop out of the head. Its a bit gusty here now so I might wait till my mate comes up and go over to the park and see how she flies now. I think I lost of bit of power by cutting off the lipo cable with an ultra micro one then I went and put the original one back on and just bent the pins in a bit. I dont think my mcpx has exact ZERO pitch but its pretty bloody close. I hate to say it BJ but those other W crowd already have a brushless micro with 6 axsis gyro but i just cant do it captain!!!

yeah like I said I would sleep on it and I have and I dont think its worth it. Yeah I know BJ ive owned a blade sr CP heli before and didnt have much luck with it. The mcpx is very simple to fly. I just wish mine had a little more head speed. Theres slop in the head as well. I dont think I have it set up right but to be honest I dont really know what im doing. I cant run anymore then 60% pitch on mine otherwise it bogs down big time. Oh well. I have fun flying circuits down the park. Maybe a new swash and head might help it. Im pretty keen to get my rarebear flying but the idiots at my LHS have taken almost 2 months now just to get me some apc props. I have some coming in my next HK order so I will just wait till then. BTW BJ I had a 35-30 1700kv motor here and I slapped it on the hyperion snyper. I used that amp meter thing ive got and tested out some props on it. With a 10x5 it was pulling 41amps. 8x6 was 33amps. 8x4 was 29amps. I have a 30amp esc on it as well but the 8x4 was giving the bird enough thrust. I have a park 480 motor to go on it but i stuffed the shaft and ordered another one but the idiots at the LHS havent got it for me yet. Im gonna ring em right now the stupid clowns.

You guys need to tone it down or you will all get banned and this is not much good. Ive been looking into the mcpx brushless mods for the last hour or so. Its bloody expensive and not quite sure its worth it for me yet. Im still undecided. Its going to cost me the best part of $200 at least. Hmm maybe the brushless power might cause me to crash more. I think ill have to sleep on it for a while.
