How do you KNOW
Im currently setting up a 90 size electric with a specific battery size and motor. I have changed props on static runs several times and I want to know how you know what the proper set up should be. I know it depends on the style of flying. Im using a Castle Creations ice 100 amp and using the logging to obtain information for each prop setup but I do not know how to decifer the information and use it to determine the combonation thats most effective.

which is better A123,lipo,lithium ion
I have Yak with a DLE 30 and wanted to know what the best type of battery to use with electronics? Currently I have 2 2600 lithium ion one for radio and one for ignition. They work great for about 10 months. At $75 for the two its too pricey, any suggestions? Whats the difference between lipo and ion in that configuration? Thanks for your help..

John, Thanks for taking the time to respond. I was leaning towards the lipo as a replacement to the lithium ion because in electrics they seem to last a long time with lots of power available and the price has significantly dropped. However to your point they are a fire hazard and a DLE 30 vibrates a lot. What brand A123 do you use, I currently have two regulators in place one for each battery.

Suggestions for component setup
Im building up for a gas engine 120 scale type aircraft (Aeroworks 90-120 Yak)and wanted to know what type setup should I use. Running DLE 30 with 4 Hitec 5645 and rudder 5985. I purchased a MPI adjustable regulator because I want to run lipoly batteries. I dont know what size batteries or if lipoly is the right choice. I wanted to go that route because Im already setup with charger and battery stuff from other planes.Im using a spectrum radio and ar7000 receiver. I also purchased a remote ignition shut off which will utilize an aux channel on receiver. Any suggestions on battery and/or more stuff to add.. Thanks for your time New to Gas Paul
