RE: HL and Matorro
I always put on a 1mm alu plate to cover the bottom. Not so much for the batteries but for the on-off switch and smoke switch. We have had a case where the smoke on off switch was hammered up and causes the electronics to blow off. So, my advice is to get a 1mm alu place (can be bought in most hobby shops) and mount it with strong tape cheers Steen

Thanks for input on metal tracks- Another question - are the original return rollers "heavy duty" enough to handle metal belts, or do I need to change them to a metal version also if I go for the metal belts. thanks Steen www.panzerteam.dk

Hi David, I also have a Sherman from Tamiya, that is still to be taken outside. I am curious if you have the stock plastic belts or the metal ones. cheers Steen

RE: Anyone done a 1/15 Bandai Hummel?
thanks :-) I will post some ( many :-) ) pictures when I finish it up. I have already gotten the 18 shells and shell case that there originally is room for in the Hummel, as well some other 1:16 stuff as radio, soldiers etc to be a part of the finished model. My thoughts related to painting, is that it will be sand as base color, and the cammoflaged with the green and dark brown in "large" patterns. Rusk, dust and dirt will also be applied [:D] cheers Steen

RE: Anyone done a 1/15 Bandai Hummel?
HI there I Just finished the assapling of mine this summer. Now it waits for electronic and painting. My initial point of view is that quality is good, except to the plastic belts which need to be replaced by something else. Take a look at www.panzerteam.dk and look into the commander pictures section "commander vøler" where you will find some pictures of my not yet finished model cheers Steen
