RE: Aeroworks profile
Here is one with a Mintor 22 on it. First three flights on it yesterday! Running a Fromeco 2600 batt, Sahara regulator and a Aero-tech IBEC. It came in at 7lbs 12oz. When the motor is broke in, it should be a blast.

RE: GP .60 Reactor Bibe
Motor runs great on a 17x6 but I run a 16x8 for clearance reasons, I fly of a asphalt runway! Goint to try a 15x8x3 blade nest weekend.

RE: GP .60 Reactor Bibe
I only used 2 Batts. Both 1500mah and they are installed just aft of the tank. I get 5 flights with this setup. You need a good throttle curve for hover, and I removed the detent from the radio for smooth operation on the stick. Steiny

RE: GP .60 Reactor Bibe
Livefast, I installed my cdi unit by below the tank, It keeps it away from the heat of the motor and allows better flow around the motor. Junt my 2 cents . You will love this combo! Steiny

RE: GP .60 Reactor Bibe
You know you can! I have been flying this plane, over 150 flights with this combo. Yes the muffler sticks through the cowl, but the weight is the same as a Saito 125. I think I am the first to do this and would never go any other way! Not to be mean, but you have been thinking about this for a while, time to suck it up and do it, you won’t regret it!! Steiny

RE: GP .60 Reactor Bibe
I know everybody is different, but I don’t mind the cowl cut. This plane is such a blast to fly. I have been out in 30 mph winds and I have giggled while I flew it. I’m not real worried about the looks of it but the performance is where it is at. This is a 7.5 pound plane with 14 pounds of thrust. It floats when I want it rolls so fast I have the ailerons back at 50% for normal flying. It will 3d as good as any bipe! This is my travel, windy, just want to have fun plane. I always land with a smile and others just shake their head!! The Saito 91 was fun but this is so much fun it should be illegal. Steiny You can’t see the cowl in the air.

I’m not sure I understand this post, it seems like many of you are behaving just like you accuse others of acting. When you point with one finger, four of them point back at you. Let people think you are a fool, rather than open your mouth and remove all doubt Thanks T.O.M. and Jodi

RE: GP Reactor Bipe strengthening
It is what holds the top wing on! I would not use anything other than stock parts. I always check mine for stability because, I too fly mine very hard. Some times I laught because it stays together, everybody looks at me funny when I'm done flying, thinking tha I was trying to break it. All I know is I giggle when I fly this plane!

I have over 150 flights on my bipe with a DLE-20 in it and haven't had any problems with airframe. This plane is flown hard with giant rates and it is still intact. I did do some glass work on the firewall but thats it. Steiny

RE: Great Planes 60 size reactor bipe
Have over 100 flights on my Reactor Bipe with the DLE-20, what a great plane. It is my fly anywhere in any condition plane. The plane weights 7lbs 8oz. and fly’s 12min on 4oz. This plane is always at the field, I like my E. Flight Yak but the reactor is a good stress reliever. Steiny

RE: battery selection for u can do 3d .46
I would think 6-10 flights good flights. I ran a reactor Bipe with 8-ds81's and would get 5 10 min. flights before a charge was needed on the same battery. I would worry more about the 47oz. servos. Steiny

My Reactor came in at 7.5lbs with 2-1500 batts (still on 72mhz). What would be the all up weight with the motor? The Reactor flies very lite, loves to float in on landing. I'm not sure on your combo, Steiny

RE: Occasional Member
Here is the Idea on paper after all comments taken into consideration. To all local flying clubs: My name is Mitch Steinmetz, and I am a Calumet Flyers Member, Two weeks ago while at a fun fly event at the Manitwo Flyers Field in Two Rivers, WI I was surprised at the number of local pilots that didn’t even know of their great field. While flying, I was thinking of ways to get more involvement in the local clubs and how to create a better flying community in our side of the state. After talking to some guys at the field we came up with the following idea. The associate membership would allow full field flying privileges at a participating field as long as the following conditions were met. 1. Current AMA Membership 2. Current member (home field) dues paid in full 3. Both clubs, home field and visiting field, must agree to program 4. Associate member dues paid (these dues are group set to a dollar amount agreed to like $10 per year per member). This does not give an associate member voting or any other privileges. The goal of this program is to allow for members to fly at other clubs without having to be a guest. The advantages are: 1. More camaraderie 2. Better participation at events 3. Variety of fields to fly at 4. Additional membership dues for clubs Some of us travel about to other fields events and have a blast doing so. The enjoyment of new fields and meeting new people is the best part. A day at the fly field is like 6 hours in the park with friends interrupted by 4-6 flights help share the hobby and join the associate member group. Each club within an hour drive from Manitowoc will get this invite. It is hoped that they will bring it up at their next meeting and we can get this program going yet this summer if not next year. It is my hope that your club will invite other clubs and get this program going. Please contact me if you have any questions, comment, or concerns, it is my hope to get others involved and help with getting this idea a reality. Thanks for your help,
