RE: Which Transmitter??????
Hi Locals are flying a mix of futaba and jr with quite a few still on 35mhz (i'm in england ),just fancy treating myself and if i'm going to buy a new set-up 2.4 might be the way to go.Ive heard about futabas problems on here but i mainly fly gliders so heat should'nt be an issue- as for spektrums locking out problems this is much more concerning. If it was just a few new pilots i wouldnt think much of it but there seems to be quite a few very experienced pilots expressing there concerns!. Decisions, decisions! cheers

Zenoah g23 lh engine help please
Hi All Can anyone offer any advice on what spec a g23 lh engine has and wether it would be ok for fitting to a waterjet sprint boat project. It's going cheap so as long as the pefrormance is reasonable/rotation direction ok then i'll go for it.I think it was originally fitted to a go-ped but still runs ok. thanks for your help stevext

RE: Zenoah water cooling conversion
Yep,hink your right. There's a fsrv hull on fleabay at the mo which the guy says will take a zenoah-i'll have a look later.I could always run that air cooled with the cylinder sticking up into the fresh air and a surface drive. speak to you later cheers

RE: Zenoah water cooling conversion
Hi I'm really thinking of going down the jet drive route with the project,i know that the speed will be alot lower but the chines on the hull are a bit small to give enough grip for a full on race boat and i want the ability to run in shallow water without ripping off an expensive prop and associated hardware.I'll check the hull dimensions when i can and post back. There are a few of these hulls about in polyester as i knocked out a few but build my own in epoxy/carbon with vac bagged moulds.[:D] cheers

RE: Zenoah water cooling conversion
Cheers I'll get hold of the jet drive as well and knock up another hull and deck with a larger opening to make access easier when i get back to work as i'm getting better after a hospital op at the mo.Give me a shout if you're ever down in the south west and i'll get the kettle on but the biscuits are extra (pricey these gas boats!).The photos swow the hull with a flat and reccessed transom for jet drive or outboards. cheers

RE: Zenoah water cooling conversion
Cheers for the link,i'm going to give it some thought on that one as it would save alot of effort but i'm going to have to shell out about £100 for a jet unit from prestwich(not sure how much it was off the top of myhead) and the costs soon start to creep up-it'll be worth it though. cheers stevext

Zenoah water cooling conversion
Hi All I was hoping the forum might be able to help me with a zenoah conversion.I have a 38"ish monohull in epoxy/foam core which i'd like to fit a zenoah and a jet drive for a semi scale launch. The marinised zenoahs are an expensive outlay at the moment but the air cooled ones are prety reasonable, would it be easy to convert one with a water jacket etc as i've got access to a tig set and lathe to make up the bits.i could also make up some composite parts if needed for it. Cheers all
