RE: skygate hawk on a chicken roast like machine
Hello: Could you post pictures of your setup ? (clearer idea of what might be wrong) Are you using a filter? (Sometimes they trap air in them, even when purged) How is the filter installed ? (it might release the trapped air into the fuel line when in a certain position) When the flameout occurred, did you see if there was air in the fuel lines? where are they seen ? (Could tell you where the leak might be, between engine and solenoids, between solenoids and filter, etc etc. ) When the flameout occurred, did you see if the UAT had air or was it a little empty? (Indicates that air is reaching the UAT either from the Main tank from the clunk not dropping into the fuel in a certain position. or a leak in the hoses, what are you using for a fuel dot ?) When the flameout occurred, did you see the error on GSU ? (Might be that the flameout is not related to air, could be electrical) please post pics. double check all wires for short or damaged insulation. could be a wire that shorts out when it shifts during flight. Im sure someone else can pitch in with ideas. Swasey

RE: P70SE or P100
ORIGINAL: Kenrico
ORIGINAL: Gary Jefferson I guess by logic the P-100 should fall somewhere between the P-80 @ 22 lbs and the P-120 @ 28.5 lbs. Kenrico, since you just started flying turbines I doubt you remember, but the P-80 was a 17lb thrust turbine at one time. Jetcat made improvements and the P80 went to 18lbs, then 19lbs, and up to 22lbs where it is at now. The great thing is that the P-80 has remained just as reliable as it has always been even though the power has increased by five pounds over the years. I would imagine the P-60 will be around for a long time because of the segment of the market it fits. I have owned several P-60's over the years and they little jewels. One of my favorite turbines.
Gary, i went over n read you post again, now i have another question. if you say or assume by logic the p100 would drop in between 22 and 28lbs, and the p70 is being discontinued what is going to fill in 17lbs gap?? If it is true that the p70 is going to be discontinued, and the p100 is the same size as the p70 like Henry said, would you guys agree with me that the p100 would be somewhat a 2 in 1 Turbine? what i mean by 2 in 1 is that we would have say a 25lbs turbine the same size as a 17lbs turbine, in other words we would have a turbine that can be put in a bigger jet for its thrust but can also be used in smaller trainer jets because of its small size and being able to limit it down to 17lbs. hope i explained myself clear enough for you guys[sm=confused.gif]
A dialed down p-100 [sm=bananahead.gif] jajajajajajaja !!
