RE: Fuel proof spray paint a thing of the past?
Found some century 21 spray paint in one of my closets the other day, forgot I had it. I think I bought it about 20 years ago. Last used it on a goldberg 300 I used to have.

RE: Goldberg Extra 300
I have an Extra 300 under constuction, plan to use an OS 120 on it and likely will finish it with koverall and dope. Have been considering going with a dual servo set up for the elevator, don't really like the push rod set up on the plans.

RE: Grammar
What drives me crazy is when people mix up lose and loose. Seems like hardly anyone knows the difference between them anymore.

RE: bad luck at the feild
ORIGINAL: raptureboy WOW! get off the poor english, bad school, bad parents soap box and just answer the kids question. When you point your finger there are 3 pointing back at you! He is from Canada, and most likely speaks French and English better than most of you guys speak or write english. My apologies to the original OP for the rudeness of my fellow Americans, who seem to forget that all our ancestors came from some where else. If you still need help, please try again, some pictures and constuction type would help. If it's like most 3D type planes it is constructed of lite ply and sticks and you may be able to repair it or it may not be worth the effort. My friend recently broke an extra tail right off on a hard landing because it was so light. He was able to splint it back together using carbon fiber strips and CA. it flew great until he lost it in the sun and piled it in. No amont of CA was goiong to help it this time Oh; and pardon any spelling or puncuation errors, I dun jus come uff the bote
The young man in question is from Ontario, so chances are he wouldn't speak french. Quebec is where the majority of french speaking Canadians reside. Having said that I was in NY city a couple of years ago. A fellow on the street was trying to sell me a fake Tag watch, which I resisted buying. Finally giving up on me he asked me where I was from. I told him I was from western Canada. To which he replied, "If you're from Canada how come you don't talk no french?"

Saito 90TS
I bought a NIB 90TS last summer on line, never had a Saito before. It has two red wires included in the box with spade type clips on the end, to fit over the glow plugs I assume and one black wire with a ring type connector on it, not sure what it"s for. Are these typically included with a saito engine? I am thinking of using a glo driver setup for it. What is a good type to use? Thanks

RE: GP extra 300 cowl painting
OK, as far as continuing fuselage striping onto the cowl with the paint. Is eyeballing it to mask the striping about my only option? Found it real hard to do and the stripe on the fuselage to the stripe I painted in on the cowl didn't match up too well.

RE: Maybe the Tower Hype is True?
I ordered a servo reverser from Tower last winter, I didn't try it out until after I had had it for a couple months and when I hooked it up it made the servo it was reversing jitter like crazy. I phoned up Tower and explained my issue, the woman on the phone said they normally have a one month return policy but since it was winter time and I didn't get around to checking the reverser because I wasn't flying they would send me a new one free of charge. Pretty decent of them I thought, got the new one and it worked good.

GP extra 300 cowl painting
I am putting the finishing touches on a Great Planes extra 300 kit. I tried painting the cowl with top flight paint so as to match the monocote covering. First of all this paint is pretty thin, runs like crazy if you put on too thick of a coat and seems to creep under masking tape way too easy. My question is; what is the best way to continue the striping lines on the fuselage to the cowl so they match up halfways decent? I masked off the cowl and painting it with striping lines continued from the fuselage, but it was very difficult to keep the lines the same width and on the same plane.

RE: SIG Mid Star 40
I looked at the manual on line, didn't see where it indicated the CG for the plane, maybe I missed it. Normally the plans will show a CG range.

RE: SIG Mid Star 40
I have a Mid Star that was given to me, needs to be recovered and have a radio and engine installed. I was wondering where the CG is located as I don't have the plans for it?

OS 120 glow plug wrench
Does anybody know what is a good glo plug wrench to use on an OS 120 4 stroke? The screw at the rear of the head seems to interfere with my glo plug wrench making it difficult to get the wrench on the plug. Thanks

RE: Goldberg Extra 300
I built a Goldberg Extra 300 some years ago perhaps 18-19, when I took it out for the maiden flight it veered left on takeoff and being too close to a low rail fence and not quick enough to to slow it down and apply right rudder it hit the fence and pretty much wrecked the fuselage, the wing escaped with not too much damage to the leading edge. I always felt bad it never got off the ground but did not buy a replacement kit. I quite flying few years after that do to moving cities and so on. I decided in early 2010 to start flying again after an absence of some 14 years and thought it would be nice to do another Goldberg 300. Much to my dismay I found out it was no longer in production. I did some internet searching and located a kit in the fall of 2010. I am it close to being ready to cover and have an OS 120 to power it. I am seriously considering finishing it with koverall and dope, did a couple planes like that in the old days and liked the way they turned out.
