Where to buy flexible antenna?
I was wondering where you can buy those flexible wire antennas, like the one you find on toy rc cars - and ones you find on toy rc remote controls. I need like 6 feet of those for a craft project, I have no idea where to find them. I've been to Ace hardware, Lowes, and Home Depot around my area, nobody seems to have anything like it. All they had were steel wires which won't flex back. I need them to be flexible yet retain most of the shape when bent, like those window dangler wires. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

RE: Autonomous Helicopter
Hi Derek, Do you know how to fly a rc helicopter? If not then I would strongly advise you try to make an autonomous helicopter, it could be dangerous if you don't know the basics of controlling a rc helicopter. If you do know how to fly one, then disregard my previous comments. I think you should start with a coaxial helicopter (esky lama), this would make it more stable inflight and easier to control. You could get a hobby grade one for $60-100. If you are successful with that, then move on to a fix pitch or collective pitch. Since it is an autonomous helicopter, i would suggest buying the biggest that you can afford. just my 2cents, update us with the progress of your project!

Motorworks Sub no signal?
I got a wallyworld motorworks sub. I have new batteries in the controller and sub, turn both on, both the lights on the sub and controller lit up. BUT when i try to dive or go forward, nothing happens, no motor would turn. Anyone know what might be the problem here? I got this as a gift, so returning it won't be an option, will have to try to fix it. thanks

I find that stuff Heng Long makes are usually pretty good quality for the price compare to other brands. HBX is another one of those cheap and decent quality chinese brands.

Newbie Futaba 3PJ to 2.4?
I got a Futaba 3PJ, I was thinking about converting it to a 2.4ghz by buying SPEKTRUM SPM1014 DSM PRO MODULE/RX RECEIVER. My question is that what are the cons with doing this? Will there be a slower reponse time as I read somewhere it said something about converting analog to digital...i'm confused. I want to know if there are any issues with the signal/response time by pairing 3PJ with 2.4ghz unit. thanks

Anyone got a hbx surge truggy? Seems like they don't sell it in the states. Here is a link to it http://www.morfars.dk/rc/surge-truggy-racing-p-3939.html?language=en Got one in thailand for around $120 ....its 4wd, aluminum oil fill shock, aluminum shock tower, aluminum drive shaft, aluminum chassis, aluminum heat sink, full ball bearing even in diff cases, FM controller...etc etc overall its a very nice truck. Very good quality tires, a lot better than hbx truck/monster truck tires. I upgraded to hobby wing ezrun brushless motor + esc....this thing is fast!!! Was wondering if anybody have any experience to share about this truggy

i tested my stock electronics board today...the board seems ok! I'm amazed at the quality of the stock electronics, seems to handle 3s lipos ok, as well as motorsdown to 19t safely.

RE: Ricky Carmichael Bike - Hop-up
Guess it would be a good update for people who have read this thread and are planning to run a 3s lipo. After around 5-6 packs of 3s lipo through the ricky with stock electronics and motor, my ricky stopped working! At first I thought I fried the stock electronics, but before dismantling ricky, I decided to do a quick test on the motor by running 6v directly to the motor. It turned out the motor was toasted! I guess 11.1v through a 7.2v motor was way too much! I didn't think of that when running my lipo. I'm not sure if the electornics are fine though, but I'm guessing it is. I don't have a voltmeter or motor with me to test the electronics at the moment. I'll update this in a couple more days. I guess 11.1v through the stock electronics is a no no if you are running the stock motor!

RE: Ricky Carmichael Bike - Hop-up
I ran my lipo for my airplane through the ricky at a large parking lot, it was rated at 11.1v 30C 2000mah . Ricky haul butt! It made the bike fly! had plenty of power, definitely a big improvement over a 7.2v nimh batt. The stock electronics seems to be handling the power without any problems so far. I did not drive full throttle the whole time, only held it down for 3-4 sec since ricky went so fast it ran out of room to run it. So far so good. I would recommend upgrading it to a 11.1v 30c Lipo before upgrading the motor or electronics, seems like its one of the easiest upgrade to do. Just wondering how long my gyro would last [:D] I did not time the run time, but I'm guessing it ran for around 5-10 before it started to lose its punch. Thanks to TechyJoe for performing the initial tests, or else I wouldn't dare try a 11.1v lipo in my ricky.

Differences between HPI RS4 3
I'm looking to get a 1/10 nitro onroad car, got some questions hope someone can help me with. Whats the difference between the Nitro RS4 3 18ss and the Nitro RS4 3 18ss Plus (aside from the bodies)? Also the Nitro RS4 3 Evo + seems to be a good deal compared to the kit versions stated above, it has a more powerful engine. How does the kit version compare to the rtr one? All the Nitro RS4 seems to be almost the same, some with more hopup parts than others, having a hard time choosing which I should buy. thanks in advance

1/43 Scale Chassis Material Help
I am looking to make a chassis for my 1/43 scale rc car. I was wondering what's the best type of plastic sheet to make the chassis out of. Looking for something that doesn't flex, not brittle and easy to cut. I know that carbon fiber is great, but the price is out of my budget. So I'm looking for the next best alternative. The chassis will be between 1mm-1.5mm, that is around 0.039" to 0.059" thick. Thanks

RE: Help looking for rc tread vehicle!
I bought one of those tanks 2 yrs ago, it was a copy of the original Marui tanks. The ground clearance on those tanks are very low, therefore you can't drive the tank offroads or even on grass that are like 2inches long. The tank will just get stuck. But they are fun to play with, definately worth the $40 that i got it for. I just found this car, its called RC Fire Chariot. Here's the link, it looks pretty promising, with a few mods and cutting, it should make the vehicle look and run better. The best part is that it only cost $20!!! comes with battery and charger! http://www.hobbytron.com/Fire-Chariot.html A wholecase case of 12, the car would only cost $7.50 each!!!

if you'll be playing with rc cars/planes/boats for a while, i recommend getting a good charger that charges multiple types of batteries such as nimh, nicd the mini z uses AAA batts, i'm using these batteries 750mah NiMH http://www.batteryspace.com/index.a...WPROD&ProdID=36 they work great and they are very cheap after s+h it comes down to around $22 for 24 pieces. discount code : batteryspace if you want to race, you might want to get batts that are 800mah, but most of those cost around $14 for only 4.
