RE: Painting Metal parts.....like screws???
Anything is possible, but why would you want to? Over time the paint will either rub off or chip off of them.
ORIGINAL: Jeffleslie06 I'm new to this on road thing and couldn't find any answers by searcing threads.... I have a Traxxas electric 4-tec and want a new body, which would work best 190mm or 200mm? thanks for the help!!!!![:D]
The 4-Tec uses the 190mm bodies, if you want to use the 200mm bodies you can but you will need some offset wheels to make it look good.

Sell the T-Maxx and buy an E-Maxx. If you go to the Traxxas website you can bring up the exploded views of both trucks and see what parts are shared and what parts aren't, then you will know what you need to buy.

Here are a couple of pics of the Grave Digger bodies I have done for my kids' Pede's.
Because the Flux does just fine on 2s, if you like replacing drivetrain parts then go 3s but you should listen to the guys that already have the Flux when they say 2s are plenty for the Flux.
ORIGINAL: slickcb2000 Well... instead of bying 2s and later on down the road buy 3s. I was gonna buy 3 first and use the software to detune it some. And I forgot about the velcro, I will need them too. Anything else I need to put on my list? Truck Batteries Charger velcro software aa batteries for the remote What else? BTW... has anyone tried the software on a MAC? It says it's not compatible... is there any other software besides the castle software that would work? I dont want to have to resort to using my wife's windows based pc.
Time for you to get a PC... LOL..... As for the batteries you will have more issues with the drivetrain using the 3s lipos. Go with the 2s lipos you will have much more fun with them.

RE: Savage Flux dead after 20mins Will they repair?
ORIGINAL: spoonrc I just dropped $800 aud on a brand new flux. I came home and soldered on all my new connectors to my batteries and charged them (brand new batts) plugged them in and went for a spin, was going great decided to gear down to the 25 pinion and go to the park, at the park for about 3mins when it stopped moving, gave it some more throttle and it went again but then stopped 1 second later. No lights on the ESC and nothing when i turn it off. I have disconnected the esc from the motor and the rx. No smoke or burning smells. Running on 5000mah 30C 3S obviously in series. The only thing that is pissing me off the most is that before it stopped working the esc cracked probably from a small flip, it worked absolutely fine after that so I know its nothing to do with that. Will they still repair it for free?
/ When you were using the 3s lipo, did you remember to set the LVC for a 3s lipo? If you didn't that might have caused some of your problems...

RE: hi im new here
ORIGINAL: sasher1982 how do i fix the slipper clutch and what is the meshing suppose to be this is all new to me
To mesh the spur and pinion, you need to use a small peice of paper between the gears. You wan the gears close together but not to tight. You want to be able to ull the paper out with out ripping it. As for tighting down the slipper you want to tighten the nut on the slipper clutch so theat the spring will compress tighter.

You could go with the E-Maxx drive shafts, they are thicker then the E-Savage ones. But they have to be modified to fit. Also www.kershawdesigns.com is supposed to be releasing CVD's for the E-Savage.
