RE: has anyone used one of these ESC's?
Bought one a while ago and it never worked from day one. Could not get the motor control side to set up at all, but the 2 extra connectors for servo's worked OK. If I were you I would leave well alone Alan

RE: HL Jagdpanthers, they are so good I did 2!
Hi Alan fantastic work on the Jagdpanther's. How did you do the hull numbers they look to be sprayed on. As to the gun recoil YHR on this forum has done some good work to correct the recoil action ( quick return and slow extension ) using the HL unit, also there is a tank forum in the UK where one of the guy,s has reversed the spring and motor direction on the gun recoil to give a more realistic action ( Stug III ). If you can't find it PM me and I will be happy to supply a link. All the best for now Alan

RE: Matorro KT upgrades
Hi Guy's it is a modified HL Panzer IV chassies. I grafted a cut down King Tiger hull from the engine compartment forward. The gun is my take on a lightweight 75mm gun at about 60 calibers length ( 75mm X 60 = 4.2M divided by 16 for scale length ) as the real Panzer IV could not carry the 88mm gun the turret ring was to small. I also added the upgrade all steel front roadwheels as fitted to the Lang varient of the Panzer IV chassies and reduced the return wheels from 4 to 3 with the late type rollers fitted. Last of all the rear exhaust was altered to the late war type. the whole thing is based on a drawing from a Panzer refrence site Henk of Holland this site covers all of the Panzer IV models and it's varients. All the best for now Alan

Matorro KT upgrades
Good evening from the UK. Just a couple of questions on the Matorro KT. Has anyone upgraded the Matorro KT to take the HL 3:1 gearboxes and can the poor suspension system be upgraded using either Tamiya/HL parts. I am upgrading the rear idler adjustment to the Tamiya system and will be using the Tamiya metal idler and drive wheels. After my last little project a " paper Panzer " ( a proposed tank or upgrade that never got beyond the drawing board ) I know it's better NOT to reinvent the wheel so to speak [:D]. But saying that it turned out OK I think ( see pictures below ). Any comments/questions feel free to fire away. Any help/links to the KT questions would be most welcome. All the best for now Alan

Very very nice model. Hope my Matorro KT is half as nice when I finish it [:D]. Any chance of some more info on how you sorted the WSN recoil as I have a spare one that I could use on mine. How it's wired into the HL electrics would be a great help. Many thanks Alan

RE: Using body parts from HL or WSN for Tamiya
Hi Michael sorry to say the H/L body will not be a drop fit on the Tamiya chassis, the way H/L and Tamiya make there bodys are totaly diffrent. The H/L hull is a moulded 1 peice unit where the Tamiya is a lift off deck. Hope this helps Alan

RE: tamiya MFD sockets/connectors
Hi NZdev I am almost sure that the 2 pin connections on the Tamiya are the same as JST connectors ( these are used as battery connectors in most RC systems also they are used in computers ). You can find them on evilbay just type in JST connectors. Hope this helps Alan

RE: top secret build
Hi Joe how goes the top secret build project ? I am awating the bushing/bearing modifacation to the WSN gearbox with eager anticipation. I have just bought the IR version of this model and want to upgrade the electronics with H/L smoke and sound boards. So while it's open I am hoping to have a go the the gearbox as well. Also the H/L 3 to 1 reduction system you posted works a treat. Used a couple of old plastic ones to experement on and will have a go with a metal set soon. All the best for now Alan [:D]
