I was thinking about maybe even going with an outrigger hull has anyone heard about or seen the aeromarine stinger? The Insane riggers are pretty nice too but a bit pricey. RE: Metal Lathe for RC hobby use??
I bought a lathe in 95, taught myself how to use it. Lindsay Publishing and Dave Gingery taught me a lot. I suggest you read first, most of those combination machines aren't what their cracked up to be. Other wise plenty of folks would be doing it. It's a full time job. The library has a lot of info. http://www.lindsaybks.com/ Dave Gingery http://www.lindsaybks.com/dgjp/index.html tap

RE: Oil
ORIGINAL: pcarluvr There is a thread in the large scale plane forum about Amsoil synthetic Saber oil. This conversation there got pretty heated but my question is, does anyone use it in cars/trucks? Amsoil recommends running 100:1 mixture. I already bought the stuff at a local car cruise before reading that thread and if it's not good to use, I don't want to.
some one got a link I can't find it

Pull the plug hold upside down pull on rope sounds like you may have other problem though if it's sluggish, may be carb if no spark could be coil gap tap

RE: Anyone Have an Enforcer
IMO If you've got the time, Blazer and Zipp kits have some of the fastest hulls/come in kits to keep the cost down I think the backlash is the fastest sport hydro out there right now Insanes thunder boat is very fast/pricey RC boat is a good looking thunder boat http://zippkits.com/~zippkits/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=70 blazer marine bacl lash http://www.blazermarine.com/index.php?l=product_list&c=1 http://www.insaneboats.com/ RC boat company http://www.rcboatcompany.com/Thunderboats.html

Should you realy get the bug and want to race in NAMBA or IMBA the enforcer hull doesn't meet the specs.

RE: this buggy spins out toooo much UPDATE
Lets update again I put on the Scorpion shorty chassis, and Andrew gave me a set up that works great for the suspension. I snapped the pinion bolt, got some parts comming for that. Having a blast, beat the carp out of the body though, time to make another. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/crDJDBu0gjw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Have you tried swapping coils some times when they are weak they will fire a plug out side but not under compression.

RE: Advice on tube bending
ORIGINAL: proanti1 For really tight radius bends, fill the tube with sand, plug the ends, then heat it up with a torch and make the bend. The sand will keep it from kinking, and you don't need a bender.
good recomendation, tubing wants to go egg shaped when bent, even with heat. I use salt on small stuff, sand some times is hard to get out, salt will disolve in H2O tap
