RE: Razorback mods to a P-47D Thunderbolt ARF
Quick update, just ordered a DLE20 from tower, hopefully it will be in Friday so I can get started on it and possibly get her in the air this weekend. Updates as soon as they are available...

RE: Razorback mods to a P-47D Thunderbolt ARF
Yes that is Alloy Ash, she is a real down to earth person. When I emailed her to ask for permission to use her pictures for nose art she responded to me within an hour. Over the next couple of days we emailed back and forth and I send her updates and she always responds. I asked her for some pictures like the one from Fast n Loud where she is welding or something like that for my B-17 and she said next time she gets the chance she will do what she can...

RE: triple blade prop question
Sorry about the wait guy, had to go to Chicago for drill. I can't say I've had any good luck with OS, I have a couple of the OS LA40's and to be honest they suck. I've had better luck with Tunder Tiger than OS. I've been looking at the ASP and Magnum engines but it's hard to see spending the same amount (or with-in 10 bucks) for one of those rather than the Saito. The HP VT.21's from MECOA don't look to bad, does anyone know where to get those from? Thanks for all the feedback guys...

RE: triple blade prop question
I really want to go with 4 stroke engines, for some reason I've never had any luck with the os engines. I've looked and found that Saito has a 30 or 35 (cant remember right off the top of my head) but I haven't found any dealers that have them. I don't plan on racing it or anything like that but it sure will sound alot nicer with the 4 stroke on it lol.

triple blade prop question
I'm building a 78" w.s. B17 the plans call for 15-25 2 stroke or 30 4 stroke engines for it. I plan on using 4 Saito .40's since thats the smallest I can find and was wanting to know what size/pitch triple blade prop would be good for these engines.

RE: ASM B-17G Flying Fortress ARF (120
Wow, I'm so glad I found this thread guys. I've skipped through a bunch of it but what I've read so far has been awesome. I ordered a set of plans for a 78" B17 it comes with the templates and instructions. I wish my field wasnt to small for the 120" ones like you guys have but for my first B17 I'll be ok. I will be cutting my own parts out and everything so the plan is to work on it over the winter and hopefully get the frame ready to go by spring. I seen in some of the prior replies some people said something along the lines of quadsync and was wanting to know if that is something to do with the engines. This will be my first multi engine plane and I'd hate to mess it up by just slapping 4 engines on it if they need something else. My plan is to go with 4 .30 four stroke engines and I have a 6ch futaba fast system. I don't know yet whether or not if I will be putting retracts on it, I guess that depends on just how into it I get as I'm building it lol any help or suggestions is appriciated...

I'm seeking a foam wing scooter kit or plane
Hello does anyone out there have one of the old foam wing scooter kits? I was given a used one last year, it was set up as a low wing and I put a T.T. pro 46 on it (damn that was alot of fun). Due to the age, being used and the T.T. unfortunately the wing has a few wrinkles in it so now I'm looking for another to replace it. If anyone has one of these old kits reasonably priced drop me a email so we can do some business. Thanks Ed

Engines to stay away from
Ok your new, I was new too 2 years ago. Everyone told me to go with OS engines, Saito, and Rossi. I cant remember all the engines I was told to go with. I looked at around and got a Thunder Tiger Pro 46 because the price was decent and it was ball-bearing. Dont make the mistake of going with the "bushing or plain bearing" engines its just not worth it. From my experience with being new and not knowing how to adjust the needle vavles yet its safe to go with T.T. because they are easy to adjust. The less stress and hassles you have from the start the better and more enjoyable your experience will be, and Im pretty sure everyone who reads this will agree with that.

Center of gravity ???????
I was given a scooter by a friend. Its old and has flown before, but i am having trouble trying to balance it. It has i think a 36 inch wing span and is about 30 inches long or so. He told me it takes a .40 sized engine, so i put in a TT GP 42. But i just cant find the CG for some reason , i went back about 2 inches from the front of the wing and tryed it but that made it nose heavy then i added some weight to the back which made it to back heavy. If some one could let me know where the CG is on this airplane id appreciate it. Thanks Ed
