12fg software
<span style="font-size: 9pt; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"">I have never updated the software in my 12fg (purchased in March 2010). I am wondering if it is necessary. Also, if I do update the programming, do I have to do each update in order? It would be a lot easier to just use the most recent version. Thanks

RE: First Gas Plane Questions 30cc ?
Just remember bigger flies better. I had several 120 and 60 size planes. Even the AW 60/90 Extra 260. But, when I got my AW 50cc Yak (1st gasser) my confidence and skill improved more in the first 2 months than at anytime prior. If your budget will allow, consider an AW 50cc plane. The airframe will cost more and a DLE 55 will be slightly more, but everything else will be approx the same. Just a thought.

RE: Advice for a gas Airplane
<span style="font-size: 9pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"">The AW 50cc Yak was my first gas plane. I would highly recommend it as a first gas scale plane. The build is easy, the plane flies very precise, and it floats on landing. Additionally, the plane is a survivor. I subjected it to many hard landings in the beginning (it being my first gas/giant plane and all) with only bent gear and busted wheel pants to show for it!

RE: New 30cc Extra 300
I had to read the post from flystraight twice to make sure they were not being sarcastic. Actually, for all the reasons Mark listed, I would not want AW to restrict how my plane should be set up. I know I have my own opinions as to what I want in my plane and where I want it all to be. I own 5 AW planes from the glow Extra 260 to the 100cc Extra 300. By far they are among some of the best planes you will ever own (if not the best).
