RE: 2.4 receivers exposed to high heat
You are right it is the weekend and thus BAX hasn't had the opportunity to delete or close this thread. If you watch this forum at all you know that this is a Tech Support forum not a rag on Futaba forum. The ragging part goes in the general section. Ted

RE: 2.4 receivers exposed to high heat
I did not start this thread as a discussion topic. It was to find out when Futaba will be supplying an answer to the original question I posted. I again request that only the Futaba Reps. respond to this post. TIA Ted Edginton

2.4 receivers exposed to high heat
I have had two R6014FS receivers disconnect from the transmitter at the same time (LED went Red) due to hight heat under a clear canopy on an warm afternoon. They were install in my Comp-ARF SuperXtra in a dual receiver setup. I was able to make them fail again on my driveway under a Plexiglasss cover. I have read in other post that you have forwarded the info to Futaba. How long do you think it might be before we get an answer? TIA Ted Please question is for Futaba Tech Support and I would request that only they reply to this post.

Data port on the FASST receivers
Any change we will see some type of on board flight data recorder from Futaba? As an example record receiver voltage and signal strength while in flight? Ted

FASST and Brown Outs
Are the FASST receivers subject to the so called brown outs? Below is a quote from an advertisement I received from Air Wild for a new product that Fromco has just released "2.4GHz systems such as DSM2 or FASST are particular vulnerable to voltage dip, or 'brown out' as often known as." I am kindly requesting that no one other than the moderators of this forum responded to this post. If anyone responds to this post the moderators will skip past my post. I only want a response from the the Gods of this forum. Thank you for understanding,

OS 70 Ultimate Owners Manual
I am in need of a manual for my OS .70 Ultimate. Mine was stolen along with a bunch of others. I have been able to replace most but Hobico wants $15 for a photocopy of their office copy. It would be really great if someone could scan it for me and email it to me. TIA, Ted Edginton ted@edginton.com

Here is how I did mine using Sullivan Gold-N-Rod. The only change to the fues. was to re-drill the exit hole in the firewall. Saito 125 with a APC 16x4W.

RE: Maniner 120 CG Question
Jim, Thanks so much for the set up steps you use. I can see that they will be a big help. I never gave a thought to the lateral CG. I was getting ready to do the engine pod so I will be sure to put the throttle servo on the opposite side of the muffler. Thanks for your word of wisdom, Ted Edginton

Maniner 120 CG Question
I am in the processes of putting together the 120 size Lanier Mariner. I have seen a thread posted on the CG for the .40 size where the servos were mounted under the front hatch. I have the .40 size also and wished I had seen that thread as it was tail heavy and I had to add a lot of dead weight in the nose. If someone that has put together the 1.20 would tell how theirs CG I would really appreciate it. I will be putting a Saito 1.8 on it, with Hitec HS-635's in the ailerons and elevator, a HS-645 on the rudder, a HS-81MG in the pod and stock parts on the rest of the aircraft. TIA Ted Edginton

Newer 9XX TXs only have 8 channels
Why do the new 9CXX radios only have 8 channels? When you go in the AUX channel setup only 8 Channels appear not 9 as in the older ones

I know this is off the main subject but I just got the Cline pump for this same installation. Do you have to use the muffler pressure or and you use the crank case vent? Ted Edginton

I have had the Tiger 2 ARF 40 and it flies great. If you cant find this model anywhere a good replacement is The World Models Super Sports 40s. This is a great flying second plane. I have just started to fly pattern ships. I have Tai Ji 40s and put a Saito 72 on it after I flew it the first time with a Saito 56. I would rather not buy two engines for this model. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA Ted Edginton

What Replacement Tank For WM T-34 ?
I have seen other postings about the WM fuel tanks. The metal backing plates will sometimes loosen and the aluminum tubing is just a little bit smaller that the brass tubing normally used in fuel tanks. I have been replacing the stopper assembly with a Sullivan Parts Kit Stopper Assembly Tank part number S482. That way I don't have to worry and still use the WM tank that comes with the kit. A member of our RC club has come across some old DMECO's retract-grear which he would like use. He had been able to activate them with power but there are 4 wires for hookup and unable to determine what combo is need for newer radio gear . Does anyone know where we could find a wiring diagram for these classic retracts?
