RE: Genesis 450pe
Hey everyone, Not wanting to hijack your thread pic but I have a question for Andy. My buddy ordered a Genesis from an online dealer last year sometime. When he received the package, the box had moisture on it as if it was sitting in a moist storage area for quite a while. The box also had a boot print on it as if someone had stepped on it. The main shaft and tail shaft were bent. The Heli never flew right from the beginning (I am a witness to this) not even after he replaced the main and tail shafts. Now he has purchased new gyro, servos, DX8, and other various parts due to a crash from all the problems. Is there anything you can do for him as far as customer service is concerned? He bought a $200 or $300 (however much it was) RTF heli and has spent several hours and hundreds more dollars trying to get it to fly. He's just about lost all hope and is ready to stop trying. I convinced him to give the customer service a chance to make it right. Thanks, TLM PS: I can get him on here if you need me to.

RE: [Awaiting Approval]
I am a law enforcement officer finishing up 3.5 years on a narcotics investigation unit and going back to patrol. Now I'll have more time to fly!!!

RE: Help develop Laser Tag Attack Chopper!
Hey Zach, Being pretty new to rc flight, I can speak from experience. My firsy heli was a Honey Bee FP which is smaller than a heli would have to be to carry your minimum weight requirement of 6oz. It got away from me one time when it was at the "SAFE 6-10 FEET" range. Before I knew it, the heli had drifted over and the blade hit my shin. Granted I was wearing shorts, the blade cut my shin and it was bleeding in seconds. So, to answer your question: first of all, the heli you need to carry your load will be too large to be safe if crashed into someone. secondly, if you found a pilot experienced enough to be able to weave in and out of trees through a wooded area, they would not put others in danger by flying so close to them in the "hostile" flying environment, and they wouldn't put their (or your) equipment in danger by flying these missions. thirdly, you are correct in assuming a gas powered heli is to powerful/dangerous for this. The blades on a gas/nitro/turbine powered heli will remove limbs if hit right at high rotor speed. Good luck with you ambitions. The IR Combat game sounds cool, but, in my opinion, RC helis are to dangerous for your endeavor. Thanks, Joe

Can you help me identify this relic of an RC Heli? :)
Hello Everyone, First of all, I'm new to RC flight and new to RC Universe. RCU has proven to be a very valuable asset to me thus far as I have not yet found a good mentor in the hobby. Secondly, I just made a fluke trade which I stumbled upon and this relic of an RC heli was included. It is a "scale" model of a Hughes 500D. I believe it may be a MFA Hughes 500D, but I'm not sure. I'll do my best at attaching some pics. Can you help me identify this?
