RE: OFFICIAL Redcat Racing TRUCK thread
ORIGINAL: Kemo ok, the pullstart quality has nothin to do with redcat... so peeps should stop placing the blame on him. If he could do something about it, we know he would ;) . Toki makes the engines for "Team Infinity", which is the engine that comes stock in Redcat vehicles. Toki has been known for their huge shortcuts in engine development, and if anyone has ever had a Fantom Racing engine, you'll know what I mean... same deal there. But as far as pullstarts go, I think its time you guys ditch them and get a bump starter or something! Those P/S (pullstarters) are garbage... not saying every pullstart is, but those on TOKI designed engines are.
ok i wasnt doggin him about the pull starts....so leave me be...all i was suggesting was a roto start as maybe an upgraded version. i never said he had anything to do with the quality.... sheesh. u ppl.[sm=tired.gif]

RE: OFFICIAL Redcat Racing TRUCK thread
hey darin, you guys might want to take a look at the pull start. the one on my truck has broken about 6 times. i ordered a hpi roto start for it. so that will fix my problem. but you may want to look into putting roto starts on stock. or maybe make it an upgraded version available. that would be neat.

RE: i dont know how to start it
i always see people saying to blow on the fuel lines to prime the engine. why dont you just take the air filter out and drop a drop or two of fuel into the carb. thats what i do and it works great. and you dont have to drink any fuel.

RE: here is the roto start for .18 truck & buggy
stick the glow plug in your plug ignitor. be careful tho, dont burn yourself. if it heats up and glows orange your plug isnt the problem.

RE: help with the clutch
i took it off the engine...and the recoil spring was broken at the end so it wasnt sitting in that little circle in the senter that holds it. so i just took some pliers and made another tab on the end of the spring and wrapped it back up and put it back in the lil circle and it was fixed [8D] the truck is running pretty good now. doesnt stall or anything.
