RE: Electric Pontoon Boat
I would suggest Central Vacuum Hard Piping for the Pontoons. It is PVC, and the wall thickness is about 3/32" instead of the heavier Schedule 80 plumbing type of PVC Piping. Fill those with pour foam, or even Spray Can foam. You can easily shape the foam and fiberglass over it with Polyester or Vinylester resin. Aluminum "U" Channel around a peice of 1/4" marine ply for the deck. You mention that you're 15, and on a budget. These items could be bought from a local hardware store and put together for a reasonable amount of cash. Good luck. Remember the 3 F's in life.

RE: 77ft Hatteras RC
I have a pair of Hopf Viper 900 motors direct drive to spin a set of C/R 2.9" wheels. This is purely to get some baseline numbers. Never really had a R/C boat, this will be my first. Kind of massive for a first, but life is such. Next power setup is probably going to be a pair of beefy Plettenbergs or Astroflight Cobalt 90's. I would like to remain with a brushed setup for the low rpm use and reverse capabilities.
ORIGINAL: mikgin What are you using to drive the 70" Miller Sportfish. ?
