Gathering Interest: Track in Columbia, Maryland
Hello, So I have been out of RC for a while, but an opportunity has come up for a potential track in Columbia Maryland. The purpose of this thread is to see if there is still a large enough interest in RC in the area to make building a track worth the cost (AMB systems are pretty expensive). So, If you would be interested in a track located in Columbia MD (Located in Howard County, almost the center of Maryland.) If you have any questions feel free to email me at Erc0917@gmail.com -Eric Thompson

RE: find me a 3d heli
yea i know...what we are trying to tell you is that you cant jsut get a 3d heli and expect to go 3d your first flight...bu doing that you are going to destroy your heli. what you need to do is to get a heli you can upgrade..like the CP and a simulator..start out hovering with a simulator before you start to fly with an actual heli. Im used to cars of course i know its not 3d driving..there is no such thing! this forum is helpful..you just need to listen to what we say.

RE: find me a 3d heli
Im getting a blade CP. Its a good one to start with because it is made to be upgraded to be able to do 3d. But the first thing you need to start with is a simulator. -NoName

Just a question
So...how hard would it be to learn off of a Micron, ive heard that its hard because it is so small, but i was looking at it to start flying because of its small size and relativley inexpensive replacement parts. I would mostly just be flying it around my room and house. Thanks for any help! - NoName

Pipe choice
Hello. I am going to be getting a P5x and I was just wondering what pipe i should get to match it with. A-Main says that it recommends hte Ofna 086 pipe (im on a budget so im not getting the Rossi pipe). The track that i run on is a shorter track with some tight turns and a big table top. There are some pics here http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=101243&page=2 if you scroll down (yes thats my buggy). So, should i get the Ofna 086 pipe or the JP-1 pipe, the owner of our track runs a Mugen with a P5 and JP-1 pipe. Thanks! -NoName

RE: engine cleaning
I actually just has a huge problem with my enigne..dirt and such..you can read it in the Mayhem Thread. But anyway I need a new pistion and sleeve, so im ordering that but with the bearings, how do i get them back into the crankcase as tightly as before..the article tells you how to take them out but not how to put them back in tightly. Also when i am cleaning the bearings, do i just spray them out with WD-40 then dry with a compressor, then oil them with 3n1 or something else. Thanks in advance! -Erc

RE: Official Mayhem Thread
Yes i did have the air filter oiled...that was the first thing i checked. What i think may have happened was the ziptie on the neck of the filter came loose, which allowed the neck to come off of the carb, then somehow popped itself back on. The tabletop jump is pretty big, and i think it may have came off on one of the huge jumps off of that.

RE: Official Mayhem Thread
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! I was at my local track yesturday and my Mayhem was litterally flying over the jumps. Then at the end of the day i couldnt get my buggy to keep running...it would idle for abt a minute..then die..i didnt know what was wrong, just thought i needed to tune. So when i got back home to do after run, i took off the airfilter and there was a TON of dirt in the carb. I almost cried (just kidding). So i took apart my engine and inside the crankcase was covered in mud. Now my engine has no compression at all. UGH. Im thinking of either buying a new pistion and sleeve, because it really is a good engine (the stock .26 engine) and cleaning the rest of the crankcase out along with the bearings, or buying a Rossi T21BF and having it modded.
