RE: Cedar Hobbies F7F Tigercat ARF
Well, I got mine built and have flown it 2x with 2 OS .91 FS and MasterAirscrew 13x8 3-blades. When I took off the 1st time, I had to max out my right aileron trim and give it some right rudder trim to get it to fly level. Landed and checked it out, the back of the fuse is twisted, not the tail, the fuse, to the right. I figured, hey, cheap chinese arf, I'll live with it. Flew it again this past monday. Because of all the trim in the ailerons, it's not very responsive., but it looks good in the air. I landed and checked it out again, I have covering peeling off everywhere...what a piece of junk. I'm actually thinking about stripping it down, trying to get the fuse straight and recovering it. AND I am not impressed at all with the spring airs that are recommended for it. I'm gonna start looking around for another F7F, whether it be KMP, which they don't offer any longer or the ASM, they can't be any worse quality than this one...

RE: Glow vs. Electric. Let the discussion begin.
I didn't go through every post, but in all the ones I did read, no one mentioned that airplanes are supposed to make NOISE, not hum. Just my 2 cents. GO GLOW!

Dear Santa, unlike the rest of these guys, I'll probably be bad this year, so give it to me anyway...

RE: Cedar Hobbies F7F Tigercat ARF
Hi guys, been reading with interest. My Cedar Hobbies F7F is almost done. Gotta do retracts which I have and figure out the damn gear doors, been toying with air, but with Spring airs, if they come down without the doors, there go the doors. Any Ideas on that?

CMP Seafury CG - HELP!!
I bought a CMP Seafury ARF at a swap meet. It was already put together and was well used, but in good shape. They guy who had it had all the nose weight in the cowl and had run a .91 OS 4 stroke in it. I changed engines(GMS 1.20 2c) and glued all the weight on the firewall and added a little because it wasn't out in the end of the cowl. A friend of mine figured we could take the CG of his TF Seafury and get the right ratio, but it's still WAY nose heavy. Does anyone have one of these or the manual they could look it up for me? Once it's off the ground it flies great, but takeoffs and landings are a bear! THANKS

H9 Spit
I have a Hangar Spitfire I am putting together. Not just on this plane, but I have trouble getting mechanical retracts to work like they're supposed to. Can anyone give me a place to go to set them up right? I spend hours working on something that, I think, shouldn't take very long. Thanks.

OS 1.20 pumped
I have an OS 1.20 with pump in a TF P-51. It runs fine up to 1/2 throttle then it starts sputtering. Needle has no effect on it. I have tried flushing it out. You can just about take the needle out and it'll stay running. It idles fine and like I said, runs great up to 1/2 throttle. Anybody got any ideas?

RE: TF P-47 Repair
I do practice my repairs. I don't want to practice them on this one, as rough as it is, it's as nice a plane as I have.

TF P-47 Repair
I bought an old Top Flite P-47 off here and have flown it a few times. Well, yesterday I greased a landing and on the rollout, it must've rolled over something and ripped the gear out of it. While I was fuming about that, the wind blew it off a table, cracked the cowl and canopy. The plane was in kinda rough shape when I got it and I wouldn't mind getting the whole thing reworked(like recovering it, new decals, paint, etc.)I am relatively new at all this and am not very adept at repairs, but I am learning. I can do the simple stuff, like glueing the gear back on my 4 star and minor stuff like that. Is there someone in the midwest, preferably within 100 mi of St. Louis,MO, that could rework this P-47 for me?

O.S. 120 Surpass w/pump C12 Carb
I am looking for a C12 Carb and intake pipe for an O.S 120 Surpass w/pump. O.S. has discontinued it and doesn't have a replacement for it. Does anyone have any idea where I might find one?

OS 120 Exhaust
I have an OS120 Surpass w/pump that is mounted inverted in a Top Flite Gold Edition P-47. I have the engine installed without a muffler as of right now. The exhaust ports for this plane are on the bottom of the firewall(2 brass tubes) and I need to know where I can get flex pipe to clamp on the end of a muffler to go into these exhaust pipes. I don't want to cut the cowl, it's a beautiful plane.
