RE: Carb
Got it finally.... Next question ,factory needle settings? I have read 2 1/2 on both...from redcat website to 4 3/4 hsn and 3 1/2 lsn. I ordered a new piston and sleeve and I would like to have a good starting point. http://hpisavagex46.wordpress.com/2011/03/27/sh-engine-over-heating-problems/

Lost
I am a noob with nitro...... I bought a redcat hurricane a few weeks ago. When I first got the buggy,I checked the HSN and LSN were at 3 turns out per the factory SH manual. She fired right up. I did the break in like the Redcat website states. I have run 2 quarts of fuel. The problem started right after break in. I can run a few laps on our track and she dies , and is very hard to re start. Now today I cant seem to get her to idle. She either stalls or screams. I started withe the slide at approx 1mm and 3 turns out on each screw. Wont start.... Turned in the LSN a tick ...wont start...did again about a 1/4 turn...starts but ilde is screaming!!!! I thought high idle was running to rich????? If I try to adjust the idle screw down she just stalls. I have watched just about every you tube vid on tuning..... So confused because at one time , it did run on 3 turns on each screw.....

My buddy bought one. Nice plane. But on his second flight esc went up in smoke. Hobbyzone is good about replacing, but still makes me wonder!

I am using a 6 channel radio. As long as it has v tail mixing it will work. I had a 4 channel radio with no v tail mixing and it would not work.

Katana S and hinges
Ok putting together a new katana s and I am stuck. Trying to make a decision on hinge tape or hinges. I am pretty bad when comes to installing hinges. Think the 3m hinge tape would be ok?

RE: F27 STRYKER - Way Past the Limits - Part 5 - Step in to the Dark Side...
You are correct, no tape. They have a plastic pin that pushes thru the elevon and wing, then there is a plastic clip that attaches to the other side. The wing is slotted so you really cant get it wrong. Myself I like the setup way better than tape.

RE: Build A Bullet Proof Stryker (Brushless Or Stock)
Ha funny you should mention Zagi tape. I am sick of paint it always flakes off. So I got some red zagi tape and put stripes on the top of the fuse. I like it so much, I am going to get some black to cover the bottom. No more paint for me! Hagar a watt meter is next on my purchase list. It was very obvious that 6.5x6.5 is way faster than anything else. Oh I got the apc 6.5x6.5 at tower hobbies.

RE: FMA Direct packs with Equinox balancer.
I guess it would depend on your setup. But I use the 3S 2100ma with a tower pro 12t motor in a stryker. I really like them. The charger is good and the price makes it even better. I feel its one of the best purchases I have made![:D]

RE: Build A Bullet Proof Stryker (Brushless Or Stock)
Ok with the 12t the 6.5x6.5 is the fastest! Tested 7x7, 7x5,8x4,6x4,6.5x4. Now the most fun factor is the el cheapo gws 8x4. This prop is way too thin and flexes under full throttle, But the noise created is so cool!

RE: F27 Strker $31 massive upgrade guide!
Make the switch to lipos, you will never look back. So much better. You can charge them and fly 3 days later. They don't loose their charge like ni-mh do. More power and longer flight times, even with a stock motor.

I just ordered one 7x7. The 6.5x6.5 seems to be the hot ticket for the 12t. You loose some vertical, the speed is awesome.

Well maybe the esc had issues. I bought some venom 1200ma batteries back in my challenger days that were junk from the start. Anyway I ordered a 40 amp esc and a 2409-12t from aero-nuts. Start over again. What do I do with this battery? Think its ok?

RE: F27 STRYKER - Way Past the Limits - Part 5 - Step in to the Dark Side...
critter I checked the polarity on the battery and it is ok. Yup melted the motor wires and the esc was to hot to touch. I had been flying this setup with 8 and 9 cell ni-mh batteries and all was good. It was a stock C brushless motor and a venom 36 amp esc. I am lost on this one. Oh battery output is 11.6 volts.

Well I just did something stupid. But not sure what. I just got my lipo's. I changed out the connecotrs to deans. Pluged in lipo and bam smoked my motor and esc. Ok what did I do wrong? No wires shorted and I connected the postive wire to the same connector. Crap 120 bucks down the drain.

Hey guys, I got the futaba 3FR3 or just SS3 transmitter and the hi-tec servos. The kit did not come with a receiver battery. But every thing appears to work normal. Does this rx not reqiure a battery? I got the FM version with the R114F receiver, in the manual it looks like it reqires a battery.
