RE: What say ye re: Seagull Spacewalker?
It's right on about the yaw. The guy who owned the plane before me had a Heli Engine and rolled it over on a touch and go and crashed it. He didn't want to repair it so I gave him another low wing trainer I had for it. I found that when taking off if I run it on the ground till max ground speed and then a little elevator and she goes up real smooth. I also throttle up at a medium pace. She takes of real nice once I have the ground speed. My first flight I learned about the yaw when the plane rolled taking off at way to low an air speed. Cost me a couple hours of additional repairs.

RE: What say ye re: Seagull Spacewalker?
Mine is also a seagull spacewalker. I'm running a .52 Magnum XL 4 stroke it's a good flying plane. I didn't have any CG problems. No problems on the grass airfield and not a bad handeling plane after it was trimmed out. Flew her about 6 times today to tweek the tuning on the motor and can't wait to get back to the airfield.

RE: Nitro Junk
I have bought two models from nitro planes one kit and one ARF. The ARF was the airfield Spitfire 800mm. It took 36 grams of weight to get the CG correct this slowed the plane down I'm sure and it flew ok at best. It was still real jumpy and I could never get the trim right and foolishly I tried to fly it in some wind, end of model. It was not enjoyable to fly at all. The other is a P-51D kit they had on sale. This kit does fly decently however as mentioned in an earlier post "you get what you pay for". IMHO these models should be built by the experienced modeler as they don't seem to come out of the box even close to flying properly. If you don't know how to build models and don't have the proper tools especially a CG machine I think your experience with Nitro will be disappointing.

I'm joining the club and was out with my trainer today. A lot of really nice guys in this club. Since I'm new to the club I can't tell you much more but they are all helpful nice people at least those I have met so far.
