This engine is for a kit cutters Hughes h-1b racer. Weight isn't given, but has an 80" wing span, and a 65 " body.

does such an animal exist?
Hi all. I have what might be an easy question for someone. I'm getting ready to order an airplane kit to build this winter. I'm having trouble either understanding, or finding what it calls for, for an engine. It says it needs a 1.8 cu. In. Glow engine, I don't know it that means two or four stroke. If it means two stroke, I can't find one, except for buggy engines, and I'm not sure if they want me to put a f.s. in it. I emailed the company, but no respond. Any ideas? Thanks.

RE: LETS SAVE SIG BEFORE THEY GET SWALLOWED BY THE BIG TWO!!!
Got my first Sig this past march. I got a Sig 4 * 60, and I love it! I ended up putting a t.t. pro 61, and it has plenty of power. Next plane I'm looking to get is maybe a kadet senior. I know I don't want Sig to go away, love the planes and want to build a lot of them.

Hello. I have a question for everyone. Has anyone got a kit from kit cutters inc? I'm looking at getting a Hughes H-1B kit. What comes with it? It says all wood and covering. What about a cowl? Landing gear? I just want to get an idea of what I'm going to need. If anyone has purchased one of these kits any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's the needle valve oring that I'm looking for. I have a harbor freight kit and matched up the other ones nicely. The needle valve oring is actually to big for the ones in my kit. I need a 4mm x 2.5mm

help with my .61 pro
Ok, so I've tried auto parts stores, I've tried home centers, and I can't find the right orings to put in my t.t..61 pro. I've been told to look there to get ones so I don't have to order and wait for the kit. Does anyone have any other suggestions to look at? I'd like to go flying this weekend, but I can't with a leaky carb. Thanks for any help.

I tried to find a new oring kit for this. Come to find out the carb is the old design. They've repositioned the needle valve. And I think it has a different oring now.

thinder tiger .61 leaking fuel
Hello everyone. I'm having an issue with my engine. I was having trouble with rpms at full throttle, and at idle. At w.o.t., I couldn't get the rpms I needed, then I would take it down to idle, it would run right, then stall. So, I'm trying to tune it, and I notice fuel comming off the carb. At w.o.t. couldn't notice any at idle. Has anyone else come across this? Is it a common pro.? Oh, and I replaced the carb o-ring. And made sure all fittings were tightened down. Checked where the needle valve goes in. There is a decent amount of fuel comming out, so I can't tell exactly where its coming out. Thanks for any help I can get. Todd

I agree with the satellite thing. Every one of my receivers has a satellite. I'm just weird like that. There's no such thing as being overly safe.

I posted previously to this thread, and let me now add that I've been using an r610 with the r100 sat. In my 4 * 60, and have not had an issue yet. Back to my ar7000. Have lost signal 3 times so far, wrecked once, and was able to save it the other two times. I now have two of the r710 and satellites on their way. Just my opinion after seeing both in action.

RE: better landing gear
Thanks jetmech. Obviously the question at hand is too hard for people to comprehend. I'm simply saying stuff happens, and you can't predict everything that's going to happen up there. All I want is the best chance to protect the plane if something does happen. I feel my landing gear is substandard and would like to upgrade to something that will absorb a hard landing better than what ive got. What I don't need is criticism about my landing abilities. Ok, I'm done with this thread now. I'm sorry I started it to begin with. Thanks for The experience guys.

RE: better landing gear
Ok, I didn't start this thread to be told I need practice landing. You could have 50 years experience doing this and have a hard landing now and again. This is a simple question. I just wanted to know if anyone knows of a landing gear that's a little more forgiving on those hard landings than what I've got now. I'm just trying to preserve this plane as long as I can as I really like it. So, that being said, thanks to the ones that have recommended different landing gears to me. I will certainly check them all out. Keep the suggestions comming. Money isn't a question here, if I have to pay some more than say....dubro charges its ok. Like I said, I really want to keep this one around. I love flying it and think its a great all purpose plane.

better landing gear
Hi all. I recently took my Sig 4*60 up for its maiden flight. Flew great. Upon landing, I came in a little fast, and put it down a little hard. Now my landing gear is all bent up. I was told that's the way it goes with them. Is there a company I can look at to order something better? I'm looking for the front and tail landing gear. I don't like the rear either. Thanks for any help.

Hi all. Got a question. I'm starting to work up a design for scratch building a Hughes H-1. I'm going to attempt to build this in the fall. Has anyone tried this? I may have a few questions about the fuse, and covering. If you've tried, or done this, please let me know so I may shoot a couple of ideas out there for you to see what you think. Thanks. Todd

question about my 4 star60
Hello all. Please don't laugh if I don't ask this question correctly. I'm new to aerodynamics. Ok here it goes. I'm setting up hi and low range on my dx7. Now, on the instruction video I watched on YouTube, he started talking about putting in incidence. When I went in to the dx7, it gave me the option of linear, or to put a degree of incidence. My question is, are my wings on the Sig linear, or what degree of incidence do I have, and how does that affect the sweep of the Servos? How might I figure out incidence, so I don't have to keep asking on here. Thanks for any help. Todd
