RE: Da-Ja-Vu Build thread
To todd Thanks for the drawing, great. The other issue is my version is a full comp plane, not what was ordered but a pleasent surprise must say the finish is fantastic, anyway there is no indication of where to put the aerleron horns cannot see the triangle ply blocks due to the paint, can you help or maybe chip Hyde can advise, do you know who painted this plane, I have asked Columbo for a pic before the paint is added but haven't heard from him.
Sedge I hope Mike Kline or Chip will chim in on this. I did not have a chance to work on the composite wings so I am not sure..

RE: Pattern Airplane/Hydeout
Morris, CG will be on the tube and Low rate for ail and elev. need to be 10 deg and High rate ail. 20 deg and elev. 15 deg. Set expo at 25% low on both ail and elev. and 40% on High. Rudder needs all the throw you can get and 45 to 50% expo. That is a good place to start.. Todd

RE: Scoop! Hangar 9 Phoenix 7...ARF!!!
Dad an I got the Phoenix going last week and Wow what a Blast. We went with the e-flight retracts and the Evo 61 with the Jett muffler. I found an old 10.5 X 7.5 Zinger that we used back in the day and its a rocket ship. Cant believe how well it flies..

RE: Sebart Wind 110
Just test flew Dad's new Wind 110 today and I am amazed how well it flies. We had 25 mph winds and it did not bother it at all. Need to see how it does on a calm day but as of now I have not added any mixing and not sure that it will be needed.

RE: The 800-pound gorilla sitting in the corner
The problem is the courts can keep pushing the date back and there is a chance that he wont even go to court till after WC. So I understand everyone saying if your not happy then dont support NSRCA and AMA. The problem with that is if we dont support them then we will have let one guy kill all pattern contest. Then what?

RE: Da-Ja-Vu Build thread
Well I was able to get out and put 1 flight on the plane before the next cold front comes in. The wind was 20mph out of the North and the plane had not problems and flew well. Need some tweaking but not much, using the same program is the only way to go (if you have the same plane) it just make the test flight so much easier. CA has done a great job on replicating each plane that they put together

RE: Da-Ja-Vu Build thread
Ok so I have already seen one very important thing I missed.. Its called setup Since the Da-Ja-Vu has the canopy base at zero we can use that as a starting point. First I will block up the tail wheel to get the canopy base to 0. Then I will double check the stab to make sure it is still at 0 same as the base, then I will set both wings to +0.5 and double check and recheck to make sure they are right. This has been the best starting point that we have found. After the first test flights most of the time you will adjust the stab only to take out the elevator trim that was added on the test flight.
