RE: Top Flite B-25 ARF (Tecnical, tips, suggestions)
I have a small leak in mine that I can't find. It will hold air for 3hr but slowly bleads off. Not that concernd plenty of air for flight and I havent had it collapse and fall sitting in the pits all weekend. I do use the stand for transport and setup. I have 2, one for the shop and one for the field. Makes moving this big bird easy. tom

RE: H9-F6F Hellcat 60 ARF
SteveG79 I have seara gear that weigh the same as the Century Jet. my cat has a satio 100 and flys with alot of power in denver it wont go vert for long but at sea leavel to the moon alice! Like with any warbird energy managment will go a long way. Your setup should fly fine. My plane wght is 12.5 lbs sheated and glassed she is alot heaver than stock. hope this helped Tom [quote]ORIGINAL: SteveG79 Has anyone installed Century Jet pneumatic retracts in this plane? I'm running a Saito .91 with the new retracts, just wondering if its enough power. She seems heavy with the new landing gear. [what goes up must come down]

RE: Top Flite B-25 ARF (Tecnical, tips, suggestions)
Thanks brad, I think the 12x6 will be to small for a .91 four stroke. But thanks for the input things fly diferant here in denver. Not alot of air. I was thinking of a 13x6 three blade or a 14x6 wide patern 2 blade.[8|] Tom

fytrjok I have a question for you. I have magnum .91 in mine and it flew ok with mas 14x6 do you think I should try 3 blade props for more pull. Just looking for more power not speed. what do you think? I will have her at at the Warbirds Over Denver...June 12th, 13th and 14th. I will also be bringing a sopwith triplane, hellcat, Machie 205, and a p-82. tom

RE: Top Flite B-25 ARF (Tecnical, tips, suggestions)
fyrtjok formation looks great is that bruno's bearcat? I should have it rebuilt by warbirds. say hi to Clark for me. I am going to change the nose art this time. Frank and my self have a pare of macchi 205s should look good at warbirds flying in formation Tom Thanks for the coment dave as for your question. I have many hanger 9 warbirds and I dont tape any of the surfaces just keep the control surface gap as small as possible. Most of these planes are flying about 80 or 90 at full I have yet to see any fluter out of any of my birds. The p40s tail was a little wiggly so some triangle stock for bracing and now solid as a rock. tom

RE: H9-F6F Hellcat 60 ARF
mrsand: I dont think that you need to cut the fire wall, it is mostly for a more scale look. As far a shiming the landing gear every plane is a little differant. My plane did not need any shim but if you are flying off grass you can space the rear of the retract up wit a washer to bring your wheels alittle more foreword. I have 2 of thehellcats one stock and one that has been glassed and finished. both are great flying warbirds. tom

RE: H9-F6F Hellcat 60 ARF
I agree, the bigger (2300mah) battery helps with balance and safety margin for numerous flights. I also have a 1500mah for the on bord glow, both mounted under the fuel tank. I am really liking the seara 100deg rotating gear that is in my hellcat. They look real and are so strong! I went with the air because I put a retract tail wheel with an air cylinder, so all three gear work off the air valve. I have had no truble with the set up. I live in Denver and most of the guys are flying 60 size warbirds on satio 100 or 125 at this elevation they fly the same as a 91's at sea leveal. I will have my hellcat at warbirds over Denver along with my topflight b-25. If you have not come to this event you are missing out! You can't ask for a better place to fly and nicer people![link]http://www.warbirdsoverdenver.com[/link] I hope to see some of the great planes there! Tom Bell[:D]
