RE: Walkera 22E Lets Talk
On my axe cp i rotated the tail 180, fliped the prop and reversed the polarity so it blows back on itself. The tail motor is just warm now after a flight. Has anyone done this with the 22e? And also im confused with xheli's advertising. The eagle 50 and 22e are the same right? Ok the eagle says 7-9 min flight time and the 22e says 20-25 min of fligth time [sm=50_50.gif] what the heck is this? So what are the average flight times u guys are getting with the birds? Are they both the same? thank you

RE: axe cp thread
This may be some good tips. On my v3 after my tail rotor burned up after about an hour of flight, i bought the 10$ gws motor from tower it comes with 2 gws props that work just fine and same color as my orange cannopy. If u dont like the orange gws props u can black sharpy them, i do it all the time on my e planes with gws props and it doesnt rub off. Anyway, Some mods that i did to keep the tail cool is rotate the tail 180, flip the prop and revers the polarity so it blows back on itself, the tail is just warm now after a flight. You have to sand paper the shaft and ca the prop on or it will pull off, but u can still pull it off with pliers if need be to replace the prop. I allso bought an extra main motor heatsink to cover the rest of the motor "had to grind it down to fit" main motor is not as hot now. I swear my axe smelled like burning electonics with the stock setup after a flight. I also moved the pushrods in 1 hole and that made it alot less squarly. The axe is not rock solid like larger beter quality heli's but it has made me alot beter pilot. Going to my 450 after flying my axe seems like a co-axle. I love flying my cpv3, i think because im not as nervous with it as i am with my more $ 450 clone.

RE: GWS N60 tail motor for cpv3
HINT, Use black sharpy to color the orange props. I do this on all my larger orange gws props. Looks factrory and dosnt rub off.[sm=wink_smile.gif]

RE: DIRECT DRIVE TAIL ROTOR
On my cpv3 i rotated the tail 180, fliped the prop and reversed the polarity so it blows back on itself. U have to ruff up the shaft and ca it on so the prop dont pull off. It is much cooler after a flight now. I also use the 10$ gws motor that comes with 2 orange props. HINT, Use black sharpy marker to color the orange props and it looks factory, dosnt rub off eather. Thought i would try and bring this thread bacl to life. I recently got one of thies little things. I found some componets on hobby city that i thought would work. there is some B-less motors they have under 5 grams. A servo that wieghs 1 gram. How much does the stock motors weigh that come with the p-38? I will post the links to there products later. There website is down at the moment.

RE: elect Ulmer-rc blink conversion?
Well i damaged a 4$ hobby city servo, and a 8$ blink form ebay. everything else was fine. i think my next platform is going to be a sylven scram-blur http://www.sylvanaircraft.com/Scram-Blur-J250.html. should be a little more sidate. I only had about an 8th inch throw and 50% expo and man was it all over the place. the maiden flight lasted about 5 seconds. I was below half throttle and it still felt like it was doing 80. Fun while it lasted. no more blinks for me.

RE: GWS Pico TIGER MOTH - Flight Report
Iv been flying the MAE t-moth 3cell 500mah version with 8-4 prop and it flies great. Has enough power to go straight up or just putting around I can stay up for 30 min and still have plenty of power left. MAE gives u supplemental instructions that have a lot of useful tips and a fly wire setup to give the wings strength.

RE: Help selecting prop.
Im using a timer but I land as soon as I detect power loss. ESC has no programming for cut off. I use the triton 2 and it tells you every thing. I only flew the 2c once but did not pay attention to the charger before I removed the pack. I will have to try some more flights on another 2c to see if its just the pack. I have read that if you stop flying as soon as you detect power loss the packs will be safe. Is this posible or will you be getting to close to the min voltage at the point of power loss? I have never checked the voltage after a discharge but triton2 is not suppose to initiate a charge to an over discharged pack. I also use an inline balancer with every charge. I am new to lipo, so im learning. Thanks for all the replies.

RE: Help selecting prop.
So let me see if I have this correct. Say for me to stay aloft the longest the propeller is spinning at a constant rpm volt, say I fly constantly at 4000rpm and the pack puts out 4 volts to sustain that rpm regardless if it’s a 2c or 3c pack? So actually the 2c 800mah should fly longer since its more mah and same weight? Say I never go above 4000rpm and that only uses 4 volts, the extra 3.4 volts in a 2c would just be dead weight unless a need a punch? Or if I use a 3c just to maintain that constant 4000 rpm at 4 volts the extra 7.1 volts would be dead weight right? So if a 2c can produce enough rpm it should always give more duration over a 3c of = weight and more cap?

RE: triton2 lipo charg question.
Another question. A lot of packs have cap ratings in multiples of 10 like my thunder power 910mah pack. You can only adjust the T2 in multiples of 50. Its not recommended to charge over 1c so if I set it at 900 what about the extra 10 mah in my pack?
