RE: Problem with HET 6904
I'm desperate. Everything ready, perfect thrust, bungee ready too. Range test: At only five meters there was so mach glitching that I even had to unplug the battery. I have checked everything, disassembled everything again, -unsoldered the bec from the main bat cables, and used a aditional battery for it. -removed the fan and connected the ESC I had before (with which I hadn't had any problem) -Tried other batteries. -Changed the receiver (trying the f-20 in other models, and other model's in the f-20) -Taken the aerial out of the plane. -Tried it without the esc connected (only with bec's batt and bec and the servos) I AM FRUSTRATED.

RE: Problem with HET 6904
The problem is solved. What happened was that the center bore was not big enough for the bolt, this is why it didn't 'hold' the shaft hard enough. Roberto. Thanks for replying Jeff.

Problem with HET 6904
Hello, I still haven't maiden my F-20 since I've been waiting to receive a new power plant: EVO 22 3.700 4S1P - HET 2W-20 - Tsunami 72 - HET 6904. I was going to test and measure the trhust yesterday night, and when testing the fan at half throtle before assembling it on the plane, the impeler slipped away (lucky it didn't hit me) flying against the wall, damaging one blade a little. I've been reading several forums but ...
What I meant by that is the bore of the two aluminum pieces inserted into the impeller is not 100% aligned with the bore of the impeller itself, so in order to be able to get the collet to go smoothly into the hole I had to make a quick pass with the drill bit to clear out the hole. Then it's just a matter of mounting the motor so the front of it is centered and make sure that the impeller is balanced.
Or I don't understand it, or it is not what happens to me. ..I've opened a little the bore where the impeler allen screw (the head of the screw) inserts, since it was not wide enough, and tightened the screw really hard (thought it was perfect). What can I do? (I have the bungee as well and I'm desperate for the maiden this weekend) Thank You

Designt Problem!! Cockpit SX.
Hello, Be careful with your cockpit SX. It gets frozen when in touch with a plastic bag. It happened to me last saturday in the field (I carry my stuff in a plastic bag). The guys of Multiplex seem not to really care. This is how it becomes frozen: Take a cockpit SX in one hand (connected and with the activity led blinking), and Any non transparent, common plastic bag (like the one I had on my knees when it happened to me) on the other. Crumple the plastic bag up a little and simply approach it to the transmitter from behind. The most sensitive part of the transmitter is the one I’ve marked in red on the attached file. You’ll find how the activity light stops blinking, and the transmitter gets FROZEN. A “turn off – turn on – pressing menu button cicle is the only way I’ve found to make it work again. What answer, and what solution does Multiplex give me? Is this a problem of my transmitter only, or it is in fact a design problem? By now, I’m using one of the multiple “toy transmitters I bought together with my first RTF’s – None of which has ever given me such a problem as I have experienced with this. I would like to know when you have done this simple tests I described before, and what you find. Thank You all.

RE: 2W20 + Wemotec 480
Thanks Carl. I'm retarded. How much does your battery pack weight? Thank You again.

2W20 + Wemotec 480
Hello, I need some help on my F-20 power plant. I have a 2W20 Wemotec Minifan 480 ESC Himodel Pro 60A Lipo 4S1P 3.400 mAh - 20C (2 x 1700mAh - 20C - 7,4V) I'have programmed the ESC as Carl recomended on his manual (Thank You Carl), and adjusted the gas range of my Cockpit SX. How on earth am I getting 740 Grams thrust as initial peak (fresh batteries)?????????????????? Please help, I've been looking around and it's pretty far from what it should be.............. Thanks.
I've done some measurements with the HET Typhoon 2W20 with (not the newest) Kokam 4S3200, Tsumnami 30 (with increased heat sink) in a WeMoTec Minifan. In the appended diagram you will see: Peak: 650W, 42A, 1175g ( 41.5 ounce) Continues (after about 1 minute): 500W, 37A, 1075g (30 ounce) Regards - Norbert
