RE: nirvana II tips and tuning guide
i fixed it! i took some glad press and seal arond the top hatch and secured it even more with a rubber band and then put the plastic hatch on top of that. then i took wax (ie:gear grease, petroleum jelly, hair wax .....) around the exit hole for the sheets and packed the rubber boot with it too. no water got in at all. and some sponges soaked up any little bit of moisture that got in.

RE: nirvana II tips and tuning guide
I HAVE A BIG PROBLEM!!! i dont think water is coming in from just the hole where the sheets go out, i think it maybe leaking in from the lid too. i just lost my steering servo and my power switch. any ideas? i was thinking about making a gasket of some sort to put around the lip of the radio compartment and then maybe making a lid out of a flat peice of lexan and securing it with screws

RE: nirvana II tips and tuning guide
sweet, thanks for the tips. i was thinking about joining sail rc but i dont want to spend $25. i tryed the sponge trick before but water still get in once the sponge gets full. im gonna try putting in a bigger sponge and maybe making a thin rubber skirt for the sheet hole. cant wait to get my hs-645mg in! lets see if we can keep this thread going and build a "guide" kinda thing here

nirvana II tips and tuning guide
i recently got a nirvana II pro and have been trying to find info on how to tune it and stuff. i am hoping this thread will provide everyone with a place to post their setups and modifications for their nirvana. does anyone know how to seal the radio box better? i think water is getting in through the hole where the lines come out. Any ideas? also i have heard of people rerouting their sheets through one pully instead of two. can anyone post some info or pics on how to do this? thanks

RC SURFER????
i recntly purchased an rc surfer and was very disapointed in the quality of the radio gear. i was planning on eventually putting some of my own gear in it depending on how bad the stock stuff was but i decided to get rid of it because i didnt want to spend 130 bucks on something and then not even use the radio gear that came with it. does any one know where i can get just the surfer without any electronics? i want one really bad but cant seem to find any with out all the radio stuff. thanks, Justin

HELP!!! NEED MORE POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have just finished building my ifo. on the first flight I immediately noticed that I need more power. It flys but just barely. it will climb at about 1in per minute. Right now i am running an electrifly 280 motor to a 4:1 gearbox with a apc slowflyer 10x4.7 prop. I also have an electrrifly c-10 esc and an electrifly 1200mah 2 cell lipo. Does any one have any CHEAP suggestions such as a motor upgrade, prop ,or gearbox. A 3-cell would be my last resort b/c of my tight budget(14yrs old and make my money by mowing grass, which isnt the most profitable job in the winter) but I am open to any CHEAP suggestions. Thanks alot for your help justin

ROTOFLY HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
I got my new rotofly for christmas and am learning how to fly it. It seems that the smallest of rotor hits cracks the rotor head. i tried epoxying it and it worked for a couple flights until it cracked in another spot. does any one have an idea for a rotor head stiffiner or an aluminum replacement? I was thinking about trying to make a mold and then melt some aluminium with an ecedaline torch. does anyone know what i can use for a mold? thanx a lot for your help! Justin
