RE: BLUE FLASH FLY RC Mag #44
Beautiful color scheme!! I'm going to copy it exept with orange instead of white for my new Sig Ultimate Fun Fly 32. Funny thing, as I was looking through this thread I realized that one of your last pics is in the May 2009 Fly RC Debrief!! Good job, I hope you have fun with this wonderful plane

RE: What propeller should I use???
Thanks for the quick reply! Will a 9x6 be too small? I would still like to have some aerobatic capabilities, so I'm thinking it mught be too small. Tlane I flew had the same electronics+12x6 prop and flew "hot", exept it had much larger control surfaces and it only had one wing. I'm thinking that maybe with the extra wing drag coming from this Bipe might make it a little slower and more controllable than the Yak with a 12x6. Keeping this in mind, I might just try the 12x6 in the Ultimate and I think according to my..logic... it should be more to my level of flying. Does this make sense?

What propeller should I use???
Hello, I am impatiently awaiting a Sig Ultimate fun fun 32 (biplane) to arrive in the mail anytime soon, and I will be using the following electronics: -Scorpion 3014-18 -HS-65 HBs all around -45 AMP ESC -2200 mah Lipo battery Now my question is: What prop size do I use?? I used the same setup with a 12x6e prop in a Yak 54 for 3D flying, but I would like this plane to be more of a sporty-aerobatic plane, so not as extreme as the Yak. Can I just use the same propeller with this setup in the Ultimate for sport flying or will I get another extreme model like the yak? Thanks alot, Eric ***Is there a prop chart somewhere on the web to help calcualte prop size for different performances??******

RE: Badius Owners Club III
Yea, But if you compare the control surfaces of say the SS and the Extreme flight Extra 300, theres a big difference. Ive seen some Extras that have minimal control surfaces, thats what i was hoping for but the SS EP looks great, outfitted with a brushless/lipo upgrade of course. Eric

RE: Badius Owners Club III
Anyone know of an electric extra 300? I found the model tech extra 300s, but of course its been discontinued. Perfect size, 48" Wingspan. Any others out there? other than the Extreme Flight Extra 300-E, thats too aerobatic for my taste. Eric

RE: Great Planes Super Sportster EP with Modified Power System
Okay, I might go with the parallel then, what prop size for a combination of power and around 20 minutes of flight? So 20 minutes of flight time seems like a good deal, but what about aerobatic capabilities??? What maneuvers can you pull off with that kind of setup? Eric

RE: Great Planes Super Sportster EP with Modified Power System
hello, I am interested in converting this plane to brushless. I have a 1064kv Scorpion 3014-18, is that too much power? running on a 3s 2200 mah lipo and using a 45 amp ESC+seperate RX battery. If this is all possible, what prop size should I use?? Eric

RE: Badius Owners Club III
Well the yak is a 3D machine, and even the most reduced throws are incredibly high. I was looking at the super sportster 48", any way of gettign one without the motor so that i could maybe use my scorpion 3014-18 in it? Or is my motor too powerful??? Eric

RE: Badius Owners Club III
nyflyer, Extra is fine, i just want to be able to fly it around the skies easily enough like a low wing plane but i do want to perform aerobatics so i guess your right. Example, I bougth a yak 54 and i could just fly it but it was extremely twitchy, so thats why i would prefer a non 3D aerobat. thnx Eric

RE: Badius Owners Club III
If the Nitroplanes Funtana 3D, with a 42" Wingspan requires a 400-600 watt brushless, could i use my Scorpion 3014-18?? It seems like a bit of a big motor for a 42"er. But it is rated at 600 watts. Eric

Anybody know where else i can get one? heck, even a used one on RCUniverse or something will do. I have some electronics but Id need a new motor/esc. I have some bigger stuff, like a 45amp esc and a matching scorpion 3014-18 motor that ill sell or trade for the funtana. Any ideas??? Eric

Hey, I have the following equipment and was wondering if there was a plane out there that would be a good match for this stuff: Scorpion 3014-18 45 amp ESC 4x HS-65 HB servos 3S 2200 mah lipo battery Any ideas? I was thinking something like the 3D hobby shop Extra, but maybe something a little less hot than that, i dont need it for too much 3Ding yet. Eric

RE: Badius Owners Club III
Okay, im looking for a 3D capable flatout foamie. Maybe a bipe or something. I have hs-65/55 servos and a 2200 mah lipo battery. Anything in that range? Im guessing it would be in the 40" WS size with those servos/battery. Something a bit smaller, say 30" WS rage wouldn't be bad either. Anything come to mind? Eric
