RE: Team TS Design ? (Todd Schmidt Design)
Thanks Robert!![:)] Robert is correct, I will be making a small run of Mystic kits and already have my winter booked. I planned on working on a new design this winter but since several friends who currently fly the Mystic expressed interest in acquiring another I decided to put the new project on hold and make a small run of Mystics for them and a few others. Please understand I do not have a kit production business and have a regular job I go to everyday. The "kits" I've produced have been in my spare time for friends who have expressed interest in trying the plane. I do appreciate everyones comments and am flattered that many of you have expressed interest in my design. Thanks, Todd Schmidt

RE: How Much Glass Cloth to Use for Various Size Fuselages
Hey Thomas, For a .60 sized plane you should be able to get by with total weight of cloth of 7 to 8oz. I would use a layer of 3oz followed by a layer of 4oz. Years ago it was common to use total weight of 10 to 12oz total weight but that is not necessary in my opinion. I layed a couple of Dirty Birdy fuses up for my father with 7oz total weight (epoxy resin) and it was plenty stiff. Todd

I've only have 5 flights on her at this time and still need to do a little more trimming but she's fast and hangs in the corners really good. It's a fun plane to fly! Todd

Miss Lynn EF-1
Here's a few pics of my EF-1. It's not quite done yet but shouldn't be long. The plane was build from a Matney Kit with a few mods to the cowl, canopy and vertical fin. It should be fun! Todd Schmidt

RE: June 23, 24 2012 Pittsburg RC 2nd Contest!!! (Date changed!!)
Ihncheol, Either date would work for me, however it appears July is going to be a dead month for pattern in this area so later in June might be a better option, might not make the dead spot in July seem so long. Just my 2 cents.. Todd

RE: Toxiris ARF
Sometimes the airex is a little rougher, or more porous, on one side than the other which gives the "patchy" look when using a light layer of glass on the inside. I imagine the camera flash enhanced this also. Todd
ORIGINAL: rgreen24 Dave, that a great way to rear mount the motor. Did it add much weight doing it that way. I have Himax 210 that needs a home, may have to borrow that way of mounting it to the Evo1. now if I can get Todd Schmidt to finish my Mystic for me I should be all set for next year[:D]
We'll get you taken care of Robert!! Also, in planes like the Extra's and Edges the wing is usually mounted on the thrust line. Pattern planes wings are usually below the thrust line. Todd
