AH ok... wasn't sure if y connectors could be used or not. But that's good to hear! Now I just have to decided if I want to deal with two wings.

I agree on the looks! Who makes the prop and spinner? Also...when using a dx7...what do you think my best option(s) is for the extra channels? Matchbox?

RE: AW Ultimate 20-300
Hey Guys... I've been wanting a 35cc extra for awhile now but then the Ultimate came out and really threw a wrench into the mix. It seems like everyone is going with a different engine. I was planning on a da50 until I read this thread and watched the videos again. It really doesn't seem to have much pull out. So now I'm thinking the EVO 58. Flypilot... The 3-blade sure looks great. How is the pull out from a hover?

RE: My Apologies
ORIGINAL: AFTERBURNER1
ORIGINAL: Hugh Heffner In all seriousness, there are two sides to this story. Bags and Justin were showing some serious disrespect to the guys at the Arizona event, and the public name calling is just stupid. But, if you read between the lines, then you also know what brought up this animosity in the first place. There are a breed of flyers who have more money than flying skills, and they do represent a very dangerous aspect of our hobby. I will not mention any names here, because we all probably know someone who matches the description. A majority of us have learned to fly jets the hard way. We started with prop planes, got into ducted fans, got better and better at flying and transitioned into turbines. We have one or two jets that we meticiously maintain and make sure that they are in top notch condition to fly. Crashing a jet is a major setback both in hours spend rebuilding and money lost, so we make damn sure that we are on top of our game, both with flying skills and maintenance. But then we have the new guys with money to burn. They don't have to learn to build or even do a field repair, so they are pretty much clueless of the inner workings of the jets. Most of them have ''on staff'' builders and repair guys, and the common denominator with this group is that they went from a Boomerang or similar trainer to heavy metal, big block jets in no time flat. And many of them would not be able to hit the runway 5 landings in a row. I know several guys who would not be able to perform 10 back to back flights without their pit crew being there to fix the jet in between flights. We all break stuff, make bad landings or stuff a plane now or then. But, some pilots would do themselves and the rest of us a huge favor by leaving their trophy planes at home and learn how to fly with something that matches their skill level. There is no shame in flying a Boomerang or a Bobcat. Granted, they won't win the awards for best this or that, but they will make them a much safer pilot after 300 - 500 sucessful flights. This is probably where the misguided attack came from in case of these two BVM reps. Personally I think this could have been done in a much more civil way. Maybe starting a thread about the issue without calling out people and have a debate about it.
Does Mr Hefner have a real Name????
Haha... 5 posts total.... 4 in the last year...and 3 of those are in this thread

We got the all the good stuff Saturday. Never really saw a cloud.... until the marine layer started to move in late. Did anyone stay for the wall of fire and night afterburner passes? It was well worth the wait in my book.

I got to the show around 10:30- 11 and didn't leave until after the great wall of fire around 9pm. I had a great time and it was nice to see the rc side of flying well represented. They had a tough act to follow... being right after the blue angels!

RE: HVN PANTHER @ FRESNO JETS!!!!!!!
Not much to get... the post is about a Panther. Chad simply asked why the Viper has a crack. And a couple guys give him crap about it. My simple question was, why post a pic of a Viper, when the thread is about a Panther, if you don't want someone to ask about it??

RE: HVN PANTHER @ FRESNO JETS!!!!!!!
I read the whole thread. And at the point you quoted... gave no info on what happened to it or why it is in a thread about a Panther. If the point is about a slick new ride (panther) then the viper doesn't really need to be included in the first place?
ORIGINAL: hippo-1216 If you do not have a turbine why do you want a waiver JUST TO SAY YOU HAVE IT... If your planing to fly a jet I think that you should learn all there is to know about a turbine and fly on a buddy box with an instructor than when your ready take your test with your jet. I have a CD and waiver and i will not sign off any one unless they use a turbine.
This is for people getting INTO turbines. As anyone knows... you don't start with a turbine.

RE: CD Waiver Sign-off... The Best Propeller Plane for the Test?
I have yet to get my waiver... but seems like a no brainer to get it with a turbine... just logical to me. Until now I was under the impression you had to get it with a turbine. You can build a foamie that has retracts, flaps and goes like stink... but it's no where near the complexity of a turbine, let alone as dangerous.
