RE: Why my Kyosho ST goes reserve?
Thanks for your advice. I managed to run the car today and so far I have some archievements. First the car can run at least, however, the temp is still high at max 270F and min 230F, although I believe the mixture is quite rich because the engine was not powerful and the it sounds weak when increasing throttle. If I lean the mixture (HSP) the engine will get very hot. I'll update the video in a few minutes.

RE: Why my Kyosho ST goes reserve?
Hello, anybody can help me? [:(] Today I try again and same problem, when I increase throttle to about 30%, the engine dies [:o][:o] I saw fuel coming out of the exhaust, it seems too rich. So what needle I need to tune now? HSN for less fuel coming in ? Or LSN to give more air?

RE: Why my Kyosho ST goes reserve?
Thanks for your advice and your welcome [:D] Today I have a less stress than yesterday [:D] the engine can start and run for a while, sure it need to be tune more. And I'm thinking that maybe it's not because of air leaking since the max engine temp today was about 238 F. The engine seems to be able to run, but not properly I believe, but anyway, it runs at least :D However, when I apply throttle, even just a little bit, the engine dies immediately! Why is that? I'll upload video clip in the next a few minutes, I hope you can look and hear the engine and tell me what's going on. Many thanks for your help!!!!!!!!

RE: Why my Kyosho ST goes reserve?
To be honest, I'm a newbie in this rc nitro so I'm afraid that if I open the engine to seal, I'd rather break it than repair it [:(][:(] I just checked and the L shape which connect the airfilter to the carb is a little lose at the carb side, could this be a reason causing air leaking? I hope yes as I dare not to open the engine [:(] Since the temp was too high so the fuel inside the carb was boiled and I can see that the carb rejected fuel from the tank, this made the engine could not start until it cool down. Now here is 3am, I'll check today and post updates. Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Why my Kyosho ST goes reserve?
Thanks for your reply, I don't have starter box, I use the pull start. Maybe the pull start was reserved? I'll check the direction of the engine tomorrow. Do you know why the engine starts and dies immediately after a few seconds? Since I used manufacture settings so I think the setting should be correct right? Do I need to adjust any thing else to get it start? Also, the engine temp was above 400F [X(] even the fuel mixture is quite rich, I can see fuel coming out of the exhaust [:-]

Why my Kyosho ST goes reserve?
I just bought a new Kyosho Inferno ST US Sport truggy. Right now I'm breaking it. I'm having difficulty breaking-in the engine sad.gif According to the included manual, it says the first tank use something to put under the car and make it run without load. I couldn't do this step since when I lift up the car, the engine accelerated at very high RPM and stall. If I apply a little bit of brake, the engine shut off too...[:(] Also, it seems that the Idle Speed from manufacture was set pretty high so when the engine starts, the car just drive away by itself without throttle input. Even there is no throttle applied, the car still accelerate faster and faster. If I apply brake, the engine shut off [:o] Now there is another problem, when I start the engine, the car doesn't go forward, it goes reserve [X(] although it doesn't have reserve feature. I have to shut off the engine and start it again, however, going reserve happens most of the time [:(] I don't really know what happening..... Also today when I break-in, the engine temperate was very very high, over 400F Oh my GOD and I didnt apply much throttle, just a little bit to keep it running!!! The needle settings are from the manufacture. I have to richen the fuel mixture to reduce the temperature, however, it was still very hot and the engine was running quite slow and no power (because of too rich). So can anybody helps me? I have no idea what to do tomorrow. All your help is greatly appreciated!!!!!!

RE: Kyosho GXR28 ENGINE TROUBLE!!!
I just bought a Kyosho Inferno ST US Sport and have the same problem with all of you. The engine start for a few seconds then die. It seems the manufactor setting is quite rich and as i see the fuel coming out of the exhaust. However, I don't really understand why the engine temperature reach 400F [X(][X(] I hope I didn't damage the engine [:o] Don't really know what to do tomorrow. One more thing, my car starts going reserve when the engine started, do you know why? It doesn't go forward [X(]

No glitches at all, it flies like normal. The flight is a little bit shorter but it doesn't matter as I have several battery packs.

Is there anybody interested in modifying Lama V3?
Hi, I really like my lama v3 as it's so easy to fly, durable and buying spare parts is so easy as well. I also enjoying modifying my lama v3 to make it look like a t-rex or hughe 300... So here is my work so far that I'd like to share with you guys [:D] Lama with night flight system [image]http://66.49.243.17/lamav3_modified.JPG[/image] And now lama in new style [:D] [image]http://i13.tinypic.com/4357e40.jpg[/image] [image]http://i14.tinypic.com/2h7fbls.jpg[/image] [image]http://i12.tinypic.com/2u89hma.jpg[/image]

no, if you attach a weight on its nose, it will fly forward and it is controllable. I can fly it to anywhere I want now. It's great fun and very durable in crash.

RE: Walkera #62 Thread
it sounds interesting to me! plz keep me updated. I sold all mine because I don't have electronics stuffs. If yours flies great, I'll definitely order one more. Now I'm going to order a Spektrum DX6. I think it'll work well with DF62 because its size is about blade CP. Can you give me the size of your battery? 1320mah ... do you think it's enough? I'm wondering about the flight time... I think 3900kv BL is good for this heli because it's be more stable, you just need to use smaller pinion... Oh yeah how's about the servos? Do you think S75 servo (spektrum brand) fit this one? Can't wait to see your vids!!!

[quote]ORIGINAL: Mister_Scary Well since they just came out, I'd say "Nobody flies them YET".[:D] [/quote] well, I saw it long time ago on Walkera website. If you check their website, you'll see they list their products randomly. So sometime old products go to first page...[:D] but as I said, it's too expensive for its "well-known" quality. If I have that money, I'd go for a Trex 600 [:D] But anyway, let see if someone will go for it [:)]

[quote]ORIGINAL: buzzlightyear I got mine at Wal-mart for $29.99 Can. But frankly I wasn't so amaze by it. I got back to wal-mart the next day to get a refund. why? because it doesn't fly the way I thought it would. I bought a Blade CX instead (I know it's not the same price) but it's alot more fun! [/quote] so what did you expect from a 2ch helicopter? Mine flies great. I attached a weight on its nose and now it flies forward very well. I can fly it to anywhere I want. it seems that nobody flies this one because you know walkera electronics are crap, so it's dangerous to fly a big bird like this one. Folks would rather buy Trex 600, Switf, Logo or any big helicopters than this one.
