RE: Boomerang Nano!!!
Alan I am not knocking the Nano, as I plan to have one myself. ( got a Wren 44 on the shelf). I am sure as it will fly great, as all your designs have done so far. I just would have liked the nose to be a little sleeker, as in the Elan. There is probably a good reson for this? Regards Peter

RE: Boomerang Nano!!!
Jesus.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think we need to take a knife to the nose, and pre fab something a little sleeker. Why doesnt Alan shape the nose like the Elan? We should be moving forward with design not backward. Regards Peter

RE: Elan Has Arrived!
BALDEAGEL/HENK After henk mentioned it, I also checked my incidence pins. They all had a little movement, and by the time the booms are attatched, the movement in the elevator was horendous!!!! No wonder I had trimming issues. So i have also glued my pins in place, but not flown it since, so can,t comment on how it has improved trimming. But its got to help. Regards

RE: Elan Has Arrived!
BaldEagle That info makes intersting reading. Is it the Jetcat GPS system you are using? I often wondered what height I get to when flying and goes without saying everybody wants to know how fast there Jet goes. Got a P120 in mine, and while its not as quick as my old Comp Flash, the Elan P120 combo still entertains. P.S. I always use first stage flap on Take Off, really helps in not having to give a big dollop of Elavator to get it to rotate. Make sure your Elan sits level. All Elans need around20mm of packing under the front retract !!!!!!!(maybe Alan can address this issue)

RE: Elan Has Arrived!
BaldEagle Sorry to here you have broke both of your Dreamwork Oleos. I am using and have always used Oleos from Sandor. Never had a problem with them, and all spares are available. Sandor always gives fantastic service. I ordered a spare Trunion block, and two days later it arrived on my doorstep. I AM NOT KNOCKING DREAMWORKS. Just giving my experience of using Digitech. Regards Peter P.S Hows the Transfer?

Tucson I have the same tank. I did not use any brass tube for the vent, but used the plastic tube supplied. Just genfly warm it and put a 90 degree bend in it to take it to the top of the tank. Has worked fine for me. Regards Peter

RE: Comp Flash C of G issues
Just checked my C of G, and it is at 380mm and not 280mm as started before. I have about 50mm of Flap and No mix on the Elevator, if anything the nose pitches down when Flaps are down, so maybe I should have a little up Elevator mixed in. Dave I will try the crow mixing, as Sandor said, do you find the need to mix any Elevator when using crow? Cheers. Peter

Comp Flash C of G issues
I am flying my flash with 15mm of Elevator movement and the C of G at the Forward suggested point of 270mm, but the Elevator was extremely touchy. Even with 50% expo!! So I set my C of G to the same as another Flash at our club, which is at 280mm, which is 10mm more than suggested. To do this I had tp push a 4300mah Ni-Mh up front!!!! It seems less touchy on the Elevator, but is harder to Flare on the Landings. Just seems to drop its nose too soon!! Anyone else having probs with touchy Elevator or C of G concerns?? I am getting really fed up with the Final approach and what will happen. think the Flash goes great, but cant get used to the Final flare. Its got to be the set up of mine!!!!! Cheers Peter

RE: Comp ARF Flash update
banker would be interested to here what other main retracts people are using. I have the behotec mains with Intairco wheels, and its now time to change the tyres. But having a nightmare in finding tyres. Dreamworks across the pond sell the tyres, but the Sterling/dollar is not good at the moment. Anyway the Flash is a great choice, goes well with a P120. Is it time for new bearings. In P120??
I have a V4 P120 which has covered 15 hours, and yesterday the starter was stalled on the compressor. After releasing the starter pinion, i noticed that the compressor was less free to turn than it used to be, so much so that it had a stiff spot and the motor was stalled. After taking out the turbine and taking a closer look, the tight spot has gone, but tthe turbine still is not as free to turn as it should!! This all was at the same time as using a friends fuel!!! Which he says was mixed correctly. When the Turbine runs, it sounds fine, and the bearings are making no unusual noises!!! It still runs OK. Could it just be a dry bearing or is it time for new ones??? Thanks
