SIG COBRA .15-25 KIT AND photos
Hello: This is my 3rd kit build, but I still have a lot to learn. I always liked the Kobra series by Sig. I really wanted the .60 sized King Kobra, but Tower Hobbies was out of stock. I got the 25 size instead for my 3rd building kit. Any pointers on the build of this aircraft. Any photos?

HANGAR 9 ULTRASTICK 40 WITH OS .46FX, MORE SPEED
Hello RC Universe: I am flying a Hangar 9 Ultrastick .40 sized arf and I have a OS .46 fx on it for power with an APC 10x7 prop. I tried the 12.25x3.75 APC 3D prop for a while to make it hover and do lazy 3d type aerobatics. It does it, but for the most part, I have a desire for making this plane go fast for entry level pylon racing. I know that I can buy a "real" pylon racing plane, but sometimes, I like to be innovative and modify a plane in my fleet for other purposes. It is a beater plane, therefore, I really dont care if the modifications dont work, I just wanted to try something to make it faster. Any suggestions?

SEAGULL YAK 54 .90 SIZE AND CRRC PRO 26CC GAS VERSUS EVOLUTION 100NT
Hello RC Universe: I have the Seagull Yak 54 .90 size and I am trying to decide whether to put the Evolution 1.00NT 2 stroke engine on it or the CRRC 26cc gas engine on it. Any advice on these two engines on this plane? Please advise.

WORLD MODELS ULTIMATE 40S LANDING PROBLEMS
hello RC Universe: I have the World Models 40S Ultimate. It flies great. Just a problem with bouncy landings. I try to fly it in as I do my large scale aerobatics to avoid the dreaded stall. I try to find the fine line between landing too fast and too slow. For some reason, it lands smoothly and then it bounces on our grass runway and flips over or tries to flip over, but I immediately counter act it with opposite aileron to keep it straight and level with both wheels on terra firma (the earth). Has anyone had this problem with their WM Ultimate 40s?

RE: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Real Planes - Can
Silver Surfer: Thanks for the great response. That is what I was looking for!!!! I am just doing the research for this course. It is an interesting topic to say the least. I do not know of any body who works in this field, but I read a lot. It is neat to know that some of this technology had as its humble beginnings a model airplane in its lineage. But things evolve and become more advanced as the technology increases, as you may very well know. My thesis is that even though people recognize the technology as being capable, they may not be willing to accept the UAV technology. You response supports that. tmw09

No big brother. Just a simple survey. We are a skeptical bunch aren't we. I know, I work in a technical field. Analyze it first and then maybe believe it later after enough people prove it to be true.

RE: Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Real Planes - Can
Guys. You all read way too much into the threads. I am just a poor guy working my way thru school at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Stop being so parinoid and answer the survey if you wish. If not, don't answer it. It is for my graduate class. I am interviewing many groups of people at shopping malls, at work, at the flying field, on rcuniverse, my friends and family. Generally, you send out a survey, some people answer and some people don't. you aim for 1000 and expect 100 responses. It happens all the time in every industry. What type of computer do you have? Where do you like to shop for your food products? What do you think of traveling to the moon one day? There is about as much thought that I put into those 3 questions right there as passing gas. [:)] It is not that difficult. Just read it for what it is worth.

Thank you all for the help on the burr in the carb barrel grove. I sand off the lip as mentioned in the earlier threads. I fly at Wintonbury Flying Club in Bloomfield, CT by the way. We are have a few fly ins this summer, particularly New England's largest electric meet on the last saturday in July 2007. It is AMA sponsored and should be a great event. Come on out if you have the time and invite your friends. Go to www.wfc.com for more information. Tim Walker

RE: ST2300 Testing and Experimenting
Hey Not 24...I was from Suffolk, VA. Living in Ct now. What field do you fly out of? Now to my ST2300 question. I love the engine. It runs great now that it is fully broken in. My setup: APC 18x8 prop (pattern) OS F plug Byrons 15% fuel with castor blend (20% total oil) runs great and transitions beautifully. When I fine tuned the low end needle valve for loading up on the low end, it worked perfectly as designed. One problem...for some reason, the set screw that fits in the grove on the carb barrel gets pushed in and stuck somehow, and the carburator sticks when the throttle advances. Sometimes it gets stuck at half throttle and sometimes at full throttle. It is very scary because of the possibility of getting out of control on the ground. I have disassembled the engine twice, and found no debris or FOD (foreign object or debris), but I have notice that if you push a little against the rubber boot that protects the carburator barrel, it will rub against the set screw in the grove. I have not figured out how not to push this out of synch and prevent the throttle body from getting stuck. Maybe it is the spring in the carb barrell, or maybe the set screw in the grove of the barrel is faulty. Or maybe it is just a crappy carb all together, but I am looking for someone with help or a similar experience, so that I can learn from them.

Seagull superstar-->how can I add more wing area
I have a 10.5 to 11 pound arf with a wing area of 938 sq in. This is a very low wing area, which results in high wing loading considering the weight and plane design. Hangar 9 and Seagulls Models came out with the design, but I think that it had landing gear issues and it was discontinued. Help me out if you know how to add wing area. I cannot do much with the chord.
