RE: Four stroke exhaust systems
A few days ago I saw a pipe for Saito 91 made by Saito (Saito genuine parts, made by Saito for the Saito 91). 17 - 20 inches long. Half price of the engine. I don’t think they produce it only for sound.

RE: CMP Super Chipmunk120 ARF
I have seen it in the box. Yep it has flaps and fixed landing gear. Fiberglass fuselage. Decals are painted on it. It’s absolutely marvelous looking plane. I think Saito 150 will fly it the best. Don’t put too much engine, firewall isn’t supposed to be super strong.

RE: mvvs 35 red head
I saw this plane flying with Supertigre and I don’t think that MVVS 35 would be good engine for it. It looks like this plane is very easy to tip stall on landing. This heavy engine isn’t for it. I would try Zenoah 26 first and Brison 2.4 after.

Search doesn’t work on word “weight?
As far as it is too tricky to post my question to the RC Universe via so called “contact us I would like to post my question here. So, to RC Universe – Why is your search doesn’t work on word “weight? You have to try it – when you add the word “weight to any query search fails to find anything (as well as on single word “weight). Regards.

Piezo ignition system?
I would like to start a very promising thread . The model engine on this site has a piezo ignition system- http://www.ministeam.com/acatalog/Maier_Butane_Powered_Model_Engines.html I think that use of piezo ignition system on model aircraft gas engines (<26cc) would have some obvious benefits as it is quite possible to do it very simple, cheap and light (less then 2oz, and no battery?). Any thoughts?

RE: SIG SE AND A Saito .82
I have Saito 82 on mine with 13x6 propeller, stock landing gear (5 mm rubber between landing gear and fuselage) and 3 wheels. 10800 RPM on 15% Cool Power (very hot and humid weather here – equator. I am flying from grass with pants on. It is very windy (cross wind all the time) and landings some times too hard on the frame. Four month flying each weekend by now. My comments. Setup is OK for sport flying and for taxing around over grass and bumpy ground. For hovering she needs bigger prop 14 or 15. One pant is broken. They are strong but not enough for the grass and wind. Yesterday I managed to bend the landing gear a little. I am tiered of flying SE and will put her aside for a while. When I feel that I need her again I will definitely replace the landing gear and prop (and pants).

RE: Review for Zenoah G-26 in FlyRc
And the best part is that one of the previous issues of FlyRc has a review for SIG Avistar 1.50 engine (glow, 2-stroke). The test data for Avistar 1.50 and Zenoah G-26 are exactly the same at almost the same weather conditions (as an example, they both turn Zinger wooden propeller 16x8 at 8.200RPM). Avistar on 5% glow fuel and Zenoah on gas. This is what I call a very useful reviews. [8D]

Review for Zenoah G-26 in FlyRc
Finally there is a review that worth the paper it has been printed on. FlyRc posted a comprehensive review for Zenoah G-26 this month and I suggest everyone to read it. Actually I was going to end reading this magazine and decided do not extend my subscription for the next year. But this review is superb. Finally after a year of reading different stories how wonderful G-26 is (especially Zenoah turning at 10000 RPM) I have got a reasonable numbers for this engine. So it is – it will turn 16x8 zinger prop at 8200 RPM under cool and very dry conditions, 50F (10C) and 27% r. humidity. At 91F (33C) and 95% r. humidity it will be lower. But how much?

I checked my ailerons with supplied gauge. They are OK. The elevator trim seems to be fine as the plane with engine idling goes down straight.

RE: re plating cylinder liner
If it’s OS engine it is not a chrome it is nickel, I think. Chrome plating is a very difficult process and you can’t do it at home. It is not just electrolyze. If you do it at home it will peel out soon. It is easier to modify piston for ring.

RE: Saito 82 break in trouble
*Got to a point where rpm's started to increase with every 1/8th turn, i carried on until it stopped increasing. Never heard of such a method. What are you doing this for? *I can start it and it will idle just fine, and transition 'seems' good, but as soon as i *return to idle it quits instantly. *Any ideas?? Check your tank. Make sure it is not leaking, and the fuel and pressure lines are good. Check your fuel filter if you have one (take it out). Check the height of your tank. Is your tank central line level with curbs center? Check intake manifold (after carburetor) where it comes into the cylinder. When you move it by your fingers, does it move? If everything is OK, go and find some experienced person around your field, it is not a shame to ask for help.

RE: Ice ON Saito Intake Manifold
And how does the ice formed outside of the manifold can influence the engine performance? The only side effect I can think about is cooling down the air/ fuel mixture inside the manifold a little and as result of it a little more mixture (due to high density) comes into the engine's combustion chamber.

RE: Help breaking in a FA82A Satio engine!
Rider, do not afraid to lean that low end, it is not a big deal with Saito to get it running right. You will have 10-12 min. I think with your prop you have to get 10000 RPM. I have 10 500 with 13/6 MA in humid hot weather after one gallon.
