ORIGINAL: BTerry Good find, Brian! Including ignition and muffler it weighs 30.1 oz. You can probably make up some weight savings running a 6 oz tank instead of a 16 oz tank and the wet RTF weight should be the same. I wonder how powerful it will be compared to the 1.25 glow?
Well the 220 is very competitive to the glow version! Can't wait to get my hands on one? At last a power plant for my Reed Falcon Bipe It's been waiting 20 years for this power plant?
ORIGINAL: dick Hanson Holy guacamole! Modelers who ar not familiar with Goo? This stuf was invented many years ago - when the US still made layup construction sneakers etc.. Anyway - it is a solvent based adhesive which has been adopted by everyone - You can get the same stuff- labeled as Plumber's Goo Household Goo Shoe Goo- Mechanic's Goo Moo Goo Ga Pai etc.. all the same stuff There is even a thinner , slightly runnier version which is the best canopy adhesive I have found -
It's also the best thing I have found for mounting pilots to cockpit floor super strong but never goes brittle!

If you have any further questions or problems please contact the Horizon Product Support department. I find this Funny as I notified both safety and insurance departments at both AMA and MAAC and as I was on the phone talking to Horizon tech department I was told the only thing they new was from pics from the many RC websites meanwhile as we were talking I got an Email from MAAC with the JR fix. So i'm supposed to believe JR that they have done any actual research on this? I don't believe it for a minute! I think maybe Maac or AMA got hold of this and some guy went look I fixed it to cover there butt's Is probably more how the story went? __________________

I think the AMA should be notified and as the insuring body should have the power to demand Horizon find a fix and recall all 9303 radios due to the legal safety matters involved.

RE: Lets see your Biplane!!!
ORIGINAL: Red Scholefield
ORIGINAL: TCrafty What size is that Ultimate Red? Looks larger than a Goldberg kit. Very cool though. I've been meaning to ask, where's Newberry, FL. ?
Hate to admit it, but it is an ARF. 37 inch span, by Aero Technolgies distributed by ATEC Models LLC www.atecmodels.com (I'm not sure if they are still in business, the web site does not come up.) The original instructions had the CG of by 2 1/4 inches making it somewhat tail heavy and "spirited" which probably accounts for the problem the original owner had with it. It had a few "stress" fractures when I got it that were easily repaired. It still, with the CG in the proper place, is a handful for an old man. Newberry FL. is about 16 miles east of our Flying Gators flying field in Archer FL. [:-] Or if you want to get more precise it is 3.2 miles west of I-75 on CR 26 out of Gainesville FL which is presently in hibernation until the students come back to the U of F for football season.
My instruction book has the CG at 1 3/4" back from the leading edge off the top wing at the flat spot at the cabane

Fellow flyer In need of our prayers
Didn't quite no where to put this thread cause yes thisis an event but a tragical one There has been a serious accident and some very serious injuries to some fellow flyers that need all our prayers throught this RC community!!!!!!!! Please read the following thread and send your prayers I can't get it to link Serious accident,. Dan Powell, Brady Jacobsen There has been a serious accident. Dan Powell, his two daughters Bailey and Ciara, and Brady Jacobson, were leave Whitesboro on US Hwy 82 last night around 9:PM. They came up on some horses that were running loose on the highway. By the time they saw them it was too late. Unable to stop, they hit at least one horse. The top of the car was ripped off from the impact. Ciara was sitting behind Dan in the car and was uninjured in the accident. Bailey was sitting in the back seat behind Brady and suffered some serious cuts mainly to her face. One of her eyes was also seriously injured. Her injuries were caused when front passenger seat Brady was in broke loose from the impact and pushed toward the back seat where she was sitting. Dan was hit by the windshield as it was torn from the car. According to Dan, his injuries are mainly cosmetic. The windshield took about half his hair from his head. Brady's injuries are the most serious. According to Dan, when the horse came through the windshield it hit Brady directly in the face. He has multiple broken facial bones with bleeding and swelling of his brain. He also sustained multiple breaks to one of his arms. He was flown by Care Flight to a Dallas hospital for treatment. At the time of this posting he has undergone one surgery to repair some of the injuries to his arm and is scheduled for another surgery on Monday to repair more of the damage to his arm. At this time I do not have any further information on Brady's condition. I do not know what hospital he is in, just that he was sent to a Dallas hospital. Dan has asked that we all offer prayers for his daughter Bailey, and the Jacobson Family. (Please keep Dan in your prayers as well) I will post more information when it becomes available. How to make a quiet pitts muffler!
HOW TO MAKE A PITTS STYLE MUFFLER QUIET!! If you drill the down tubes from the cannister of the pitts muffler from all directions so it looks like cheese or mesh leaving at least 1/2 inch not drilled then put a piece of aluminum pipe at least one inch bigger over it welded to the can cut a piece of 1/8 aluminum flat stock so it just snuggly fits inside the now larger down tube and tight to the original down tube pack it full of muffler packing you can get from any motorcycle shop and screw the 1/8 inch caps from the outside of the outer down tube into the cap you will be amazed at the noise level decrease and zero power loss. Try taking the spark arrester of a two stroke dirt bike and see how loud it is essentially they are just a glasspack as known in the muffler world hope you guys understand ? I drew a quick sketch that I attached I know these work awsome as I roadraced two stroke Honda Motorcycles for years and also wrenched on them I don't know why these r/c airplane exhaust companies don't make them like this I guess they know nothing about muffling just how to divert the exhaust out of the cowl There's my 2 cents worth OH! by the way how do you think silencers for guns are made ? LOOK FAMILIAR????I was making a set in my third year sheet metal apprenticeship class and my teacher took them away thought I was making silencers till I brought the motor and rest of the pitts muffler to prove I wasn't!!
