RE: coroplast
kahn41 I would think twice before ordering coro that is scored. Check into Harbor sales, I know they will ship 48 X 24. If you could use 24 instead of 27 then it is no problem getting it there. upnflyin

RE: fma direct co-pilot?
I have used a couple on planes and really liked them. Especially in the wind. I like to put it on the flap knob so I can control how much assistance I wish to use. Nice to have onboard just as a little extra insurance. Cheap investment considering what you have invested and as time goes on you will learn to depend on it less and less.

RE: Wing to Fuse Attach Dowel HELP
Instead of using magic marker use what some finish carpenters use. A womans lip stick will transfer right over. Use it to trans. door strikers etc. Cheap stuff too. Just buy it where they don't know you or will ever see you again. Or hit up the other half.

photographers take pictures
A photographer for a national magazine was assigned to get photos of a great forest fire. Smoke at the scene was too thick to get any good shots, so he frantically called his home office to hire a plane. "It will be waiting for you at the airport!" he was assured by his editor. As soon as he got to the small, rural airport, sure enough, a plane was warming up near the runway. He jumped in with his equipment and yelled, "Let's go! Let's go!" The pilot swung the plane into the wind and soon they were in the air. "Fly over the north side of the fire," said the photographer, "and make three or four low level passes." "Why?" asked the pilot. "Because I'm going to take pictures! I'm a photographer, and photographers take pictures!" said the photographer with great exasperation. After a long pause the pilot said, "You mean you're not the instructor?"

RE: Wing to Fuse Attach Dowel HELP
I am guessing your dowels are not glued in yet. Just sharpen another set to a real nice point and make a dent impression in your former for alignment. Good luck upnflyin

RE: CoroCub also
Please let us know exactly where your cg comes out to be. I made two corocubs per the plans and they both were so tail heavy I lost them. They were repairable but not looking new or "near new" any more. Pretty wrinkled up. I think I am going to try a "third" one soon but am concerned about cg. I made another spadet so I could have something else to fly again. upnflyin

RE: Help buying Coroplast
W W W dot spadtothebone.com/ go to this address and have a good look around. It will answer a lot of your questions about getting materials and hints on construction procedures. It takes a lot of reading but almost any question is already covered there. upnflyin

RE: Help buying Coroplast
you are not talking about the fees for shipping full size 4 X 8 ft sheets are you? Have them cut it down to 2X4 ft size and shipping is reasonable. Tell them on the phone you are building spads. upnflyin

RE: RC planes on television?
I just watched it tonite and it was a real black eye for rc. Wasn't impressed at all. It was a discrace when the kid hovered his foamey in front of himself and kicked the tail feathers off of it. I hope not too many people watched that program. Be assured I will never watch that program again. upnflyin

RE: OT: $38.95 ARF trainer?
I got mine and you are right about the nose gear. It came right off in my hand. It is not a great quality plane but for the price????? I haven't got it ready to maiden but it is definitely not a trainer as they say. It has no diehedral and the wing is more symetrical than flat. It is just as everyone has described it. Not balsa and covered in ???pvc?? Design is spray painted on. Hinges are very stiff. Control links are in the trash can. Made it into a tail dragger. Should be fun anyway and if it doesn"t work out still worth the price. Al

RE: Raiden Tech Wholesale BUYER BEWARE!!!
I just got my plane that I ordered from them a few days ago. It came just like the e mails and tracking numbers said it would. No problems. The quality is not great but it is just what I paid for. I can work with that. Would buy from them again and not worry about it. Al

RE: question about my prop nut not coming off
I am reaching on this one but aren't some engines using a metric and some using a sae thread? If you got the wrong prop nut maybe that is the problem. I made that mistake once and the spinner nut stripped out very easily. That is how I found out. Al

RE: OT: $38.95 ARF trainer?
I agree with ya Chris. I flew your spadwalker for a while after I got it from you so this is not going to be a problem. I just want something extra to knock around with. I know its not tough like a spad but the price is good. Al

RE: us aircore
I built a corostar and had a real bad experience with it but not the planes fault. It was a total loss but I just might have to build another. It was a good looking plane out of coro. I did it when Deadeye was doing the build online a while back. Thanks for the replys guys. Al

RE: Fuel Tank Causes total loss of control!!
All of mine are installed with push to on position. When the switch is pulled out to off I put a wood clothspin on the pin under the knob. Sometimes I have to cut the clothspin down a little to fit correctly, but its a sure safety item. Al
