RE: taper wing waco kit
Wally, I have a Dively Skybolt 1/4 scale that is finished with the exception of the fuel tank and fuel lines, which I could not install as per plans. Everything about the kit was first class but it is definitely a builders kit and it is built like an Abrams tank, weighs 22.5 lbs, 1850 sq. in wing. This sounds like a dumb question but is the taperwing you have an ATO or a CTO and what is the wing area. Thanks Jim

RE: Has anyone used Toughlon covering
Toughlon used to be sold by Sig as Sig aerocote. I'm not sure if all the color numbers or color names are the same so if you are trying to match something ,you ought to call and check.

RE: Hitec servos
THanks for the input guys ,I'm reasonably sure that everything was OK as I did pre flight the plane. The only possibility I can come up with is that maybe I hit an ice chunk with the elevator control horn on our packed snow field on take off, but that is a stretch. Thankfully the Kadet sr. went in at about a 30 deg. angle ,at idle into 2.5 ft. of soft snow ,resulting in minor damage. I too have had good luck with all brands of servos unless I was at fault by poor application or dumb thumb maneuver causing a crash.

RE: Hitec servos
I had a hitec 745HB break a karbonite tooth or 2 in flight on a Kadet senior elevator. It was flying in 25 deg. F. Has anyone else broken a plastic gear in the cold. Any other thoughts on that Thanks Jim
