RE: Proper hookup for Futaba RCVR
Thats one reason I went and bought the 10C to give me more channels in the future and has many features to combine diffrent control surfaces. I see now they have come out with a 10CG, always coming out with something new.[;)] Ive been using it on my Phoenix and AeroFly simulator and it works good. Im going to be flying this Extra 300 foamy I just built. Thanks again for your help. Yes looks like you can have many diffrent ways to set things up on a glider. Im sure I will try a glider out down the road. I have 7 acres here behind my house I will be flying at.

Proper hookup for Futaba RCVR
Im going to be hooking up my Futaba 7Channel 2.4ghzconectors to my 4 channel plane setup. Throttle, elirons, elevator and rudder. What the proper connections to the rcvr. for 1,2,3 and maybe the 7B for battery. 1? 2? 3? I want to get this straight in my head. I see the JR rcvrs mark them. Once you know Im sure its easy from then on.

Grayson Hobby Extra 300 kit help
First time electric build. Ive have all the control flaps with hinges done. Im not going to install the pushrods to the control horns. I want to install my servos up near the CG of the plane more near the wing. The pushrods they give you in the kit are to short to make it unless I use some extra carbonfiber tube in the kit to make extentions to the pushrods. I would then have carbonfiber in the middle and metal rod on each end of the elevator and rudder rods. Then I could get those servoes up near the CG. I also need to know how to hook the motor controller up, three black wires out one side and then a red and black wire out the other side with a white and red wire between them with a black flat connector on it. I think goes to the recevier. They also gave me a black and red cable with a flat red connector on it. I think that goes to the battery some how? Their instructions are the pitts!!!!! They gave me three gold round connectors which looks like they go on the motor controller black three wires but don't know which wire goes where to hook to the motor which has yellow, red and black wires. Hope to get some help since their instruction are no help.

Came across this tool for cutting thick foam then you could slice of sections to make copies. Looks fast thats for sure. RE: Getting started in Electric which charger should I buy
One thing I like about those Great Planes chargers and batteries they all have the proper cables to hook things up. When you start to mix and match from diffrent companies it can get crazy. That might be a good idea to stick with the one company and everything all works together with less problems. Thanks for the link and got me thinking of the way I will go with batteries and charger. Looks like they have a battery for any type of use I would want. Thanks again.

I went with the system above but went with a ATI Click for more information Diamond Radeon HD 4890 Video Card - 1024MB DDR5, PCI Express 2.0 x16, CrossFireX Ready, (Dual Link) Dual DVI, HDTV Using this card I don't need to upgrade the power supply that I would have to do using the BFG card, and its faster too. I have the system now all setup and it runs AeroFly and Phoenix fantastic. Im sure glad I went with system.

Well got the new Ultra Duo Core from Tigerdirect and it smokes with Phoenix and Aerofly
I bought the Ultra Duo Core system and the replace the nivida Geforce 9800 GT card with a 1Gig ATI Radeon HD4890 card. The graphics are great and smooth at any resolution. Both programs have real good graphics. I bought TrueScale add-on disk for the Aerofly and that is some cool stuff.I also bought the other two disk aswell for it. Both programs loaded up with no problems and all updates installed with no problems. Im real impressed with both programs. Phoenix has alot of models of all diffrent types. Im very happy with this setup. Im glad I went with this computer system and graphics card. The detail reflections on the models in Phoenix are something to see.

RE: Laser equipment for cutting foam for planes
The phlatprinter is to much in the works for me. If they had a complete system I might be interested. I want a system that is built and comes with software. Ive seen router systems at tradeshows in the sign making world. Doesn't someone make a system that can do this that is already built and comes with software? Maybe a computer contolled hotwire would be better for cutting out foam parts. I will take a look at the commercial wire cutter systems and see what they can do. Using a router system gives you the abitlity to cut many types of material wood, plastic, foam etc that wire cutter could not do. Anything in the commercial world that will do what the phlatprinter is doing and more with software?

RE: Laser equipment for cutting foam for planes
Can the hot wire systems cut all the parts of a foamie. Ive seen they can cut large blocks and then you could slice off the parts to make the same part a little faster out of one large block, if it can slice each part the same. Who makes a good computer contolled wire cutting system. Looks like that is what I will need. Ive seen a few on the net but they were manual controlled. Im looking for computer controlled. Thanks for the help. Im sure there must be a few to pick from. I would want one with good software, service and built well. etc.

This is the system Im looking at http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4138011&CatId=1886 One of the members here on the forum has one and he says he runs all his sims with no problems. I was thinking of upgrading the video card to BFG GeForce GTX 280 Video Card - OC Edition 1GB GDDR3 plus it has a SVHS out I can run to a 27" TV if I want. That card is overclocked out of the box and fast from what I heard. They have the video card under the video card section.

Im not crazy about Vista but it does use Ram over 4G which is nice. This system is going to be used only for RC flight sims. Im going to be ordering next week from TigerDirect. Ive bought lots of stuff from them.
