RE: Building the Fly Baby scale 1:2,2
ORIGINAL: riat Hi Guys Thats a very nice plane I built a 1/4 scale flybaby from plans some 20 yrs back, it was a great flier and now this is really interesting me. I am wondering how a dle111 flat twin would fit. Its 10 inches acros the cylinders, ideally the cylinders would hang out of the cowl at the scale position. another question ; is the tailplane removable? rgds
Hi The cowling is + - 8 inches where the cylinders will be, but you will need too add 3-4 lbs noseweight. The tailplane is removable. Viggo

Bud Nosen big stick (need building manual)
Hi I have a set of Bud Nosen Big Stick plans, 100-105 inch wingspan. I build this many years ago, sadly i "lost" it....... I have ordered a set of wingribs and wingtubes, the new one will have two piece wing, its a super bird for skies during the winter. It was a simple building manual, just a few sheets, but i cant find them, is there anybody out there that can make me a copy, please. Regards Viggo

OOOOOHHHHHH Very large Wilga, advice.
Hi In a very week moment, i bought a very big Wilga, its build with ply ribs anf formers and covered with thin mahogny, the only thing left too build from wood is ailerons, flaps and wingtips, this build started in Denmark many years ago, and have 2-3 owners before me in Norway, i am going too make it flyable, but i have too go the budget way ( no Moki ) i doo need some advice: This is build from downsized original fullsize plans, there is no hardpoints under the wing skin for the hinges for ailerons and flaps, can i cut slots and fasten them in the wingribs? Do someone know how the ailerons and flaps should look like, and how they are hinged on the fullsize? What engine too choose? The wings has hardwood main spar that continues into the top cabin, but how should i lock them in place? (too thight fit for the moment) Covering, fiberglass and resin? The model is 10 kg and has a 5 meter wingspan, final weight mayby as low as 25kg. All comments are welcome........... Viggo

RE: Sig 1/3 scale Spacewalker
Hi all Spacewalker fans. For over 10 years ago i build the 1/3 spacewalker, at the time my flying skills was at the beginner state, so every time i flew it i was very nervous, after a while i sold it (stupid). The year after i build the 1/4 spacewalker, and this one i still have, and fly it every season. Two weeks ago i was able too buy back my old 1/3 spacewalker, ohhhhh joy. It is in good condition, covered in solartex and sprayed with auto-paint, i have done some touch-up painting, put in all new servos, new batteries and switches, and new motor, before it had a OS BGX 35cc, now it has 53cc twin gasoline, it is soon ready for maiden, my flying skills is much better now, so this time it is a keeper. RE: CMP Zero Makeover
Hi I Maiden mine yesterday, all went fine, tracking is good, no trimming needed, cg 1 inch behind recommondation, Zenoah 38 for power, never needed more than 50% throttle. I moved the 3 servos from the tail, and could take 1 kg lead away from the firewall, you do save weight by moving servos. But the weight doesent matter, it flys like a trainer. My camera wouldent work, so i only have some video in really bad quality, but here they are: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQWBH47zOx8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfearLO29Yw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXlpdPFdRkM
