RE: 1/4th Scale Flair Tiger Moth Project
Hi Guys Can you please look at your fuse and measure the distance from firewall to end of the cowl? As there is no complex plan 1:1 of it and 3W has carb in the back it will be great for additional indication for modifying the fuse. Thank you

RE: 1/4th Scale Flair Tiger Moth Project
Hi Flair kit is really great. I have one on way from UK to me at the moment [:D] Not sure about the engine as I planned to use Laser 180, but have 3W 28i on shelf. It will need some mods, but will see. I put the 3W on sale and if someone will buy it I will go for Laser... Anyway here are some new vids of this bird:

RE: KMP / YT Me 109 E Build Thread
Alex you will face same problem with the one from YT I will have to make custom adapter (around 8mm) for the crank. The problem is the spinner is for E3/E4 and they had cannon inside of the crank and due to this the spinner is not that long I will post picture when it will be done (round end of this month)

RE: CMP BF109F BUILDING THREAD
ORIGINAL: Hot Rod Todd Paladin, what did you do to add all the weight to your plane? 18.5 lbs is awful heavy for the wing area it has. It will fly, but it won't fly slow. You'll have to come in fast and allow plenty of time to build speed on takeoff. Sethorion, I would not think that moving the gear would be worth the effort. It will make the plane ground handle worse, and you would have to completely change the wing structure to get the gear mounted farther inboard. The gear is not halfway down the wing, but it is a bit farther out than the real thing. Getting the gear long enough and the wheels big enough will also be hard. I think the gear looks pretty good at the field, and I haven't had any comments about the stance being too wide.
This is one of the things I don´t understand on many ARF and CMP is special here ;) Why they are doing all those planes with small wheels and incorrect retracts location? This makes huge difference

RE: KMP
LDM I have no problem with CMP. I speak only from my experience and that was not good (Spitfire). But still if I will look on the factory pictures of the planes from CMP they look somehow wrong. In here the bottom line is somehow different. CMP and YT kits are for almost same price (YT is +10-15% depending on exchange rate). I would say we will see what the new system will bring to the market

RE: KMP / YT Me 109 E Build Thread
Well after more than year due to different circumstances I was able to get back to my Emil As I´m using AX 1.20 I finally found muffler from Bisson: [image]http://www.bissonmufflers.com/media/media/image/296678.jpeg[/image] The prop shaft of AX is too long for the YT spinner originally delivered with the kit and as well the spinner has too large hole. Thanks to this I will need to make about 8mm piece between the engine and the spinner. But I was able to move the engine more backwards. I took small inspiration from Sean (Strictly Scale and made new compressor intake from 1mm balsa) And the real thing in München (E-3)

RE: KMP
What is the point? ESM is not producing that off scale models. In comparison to CPM it is like KPM to Brian Taylor plan build plane. As this is still ARF for reasonable price (I´m not too rich to buy too cheap things as I learned than I will buy twice) I don´t use ESM retracts I got Shindin gear for my 109 and I´m happy. The thing is, ARF is for people who don´t have mostly time to build plane from scratch. ESM products are good base to produce nice semi scale model (nothing for Top Gun). There are on the market as well products which are larger and more scale, but the price is somewhere else and it is still a kit. As far KMP they have not bad feedback what I was able to see here. Basically only EM is complaining. I don´t want to comment the fact of changing the sales structure.

Buy plans from Jerry Bates and FG fuse from VicRC Laser parts are here as well. It is not an ARF, but you can do in with not too much work and you will end with much better looking mode in your size and you will support local industry ;)

With the 109G you can make a modification to go from F to early K or with plug from 4 parts you can make high tail for K as well with minimum additional expences and wings from wood fully sheeted just my 2.c

RE: KMP Suggestions for 85" to 95" warbird. ( ATT. Andrew!)
Well I have few favourites one as well US: - Hellcat - Corsair - P40 (it is done by skyshark as N, but fith some flaws) - Not a P51 as you can buy Tom-Flite ARC, ARF and the Hangar 9 seems fine as well British: - Hurricane MkIIc - Obviously Spitfire, MkV. would be nice IX is dream, but will build one from BT Plans I have - for both have as option the tropical filter Jap: - Ki84 - Zero Germans: - 109G (K) with the later Galant type canopy for sure - 190D-9 because of longer nose and more easy to balance Others: - Machi202 - Boomerang - Avia B-35 ;) But I´m not to sure about the sales potential here

I would say go and open a new KMP big bird wish tread and keep this one off this so later on if anyone wants to reed it he don´t need to go trough houndreds of replies not to the topic BTW guys from KMP/YT needs to sell the planes. If it will be some minor type with not to big interest they will loose money. That is why there are so many mustangs for example btw the late 109 (G-14 or K) or Mk.IX spit would be nice [;)]

As Alan sad you get you paid for You can buy a crap cheap car and hate avery second to be in it Or you can buy a luxury, sport a whatever car and it will something else I´m not a crazy rich guy, but I rather buy one kit per longer time but it will be better quality, better looking and better flying than some other crap I´m not mention any name here as I don´t want to hurt anyones feelings [;)]

RE: CMP BF 109 -FOR THOSE INTERESTED
Well the CMP and KMP If I will use metaphore to the car industry KMP is more like Toyota or Honda, not too cheep, not too expesive (they are more expensive AFRs on the market) but you are comfortible with them CMP in quality like is like cheep chinese car which is dangerous to ride and in case of design bad copies of western counterparts. Non of their planes looks good they are somehow strange I´m not rich to buy cheep things. You need to invest than quite some money to engine, servos etc so why to be flustrated from bad airplane I´m really supriced what guys like ticketec done with their FW or what guys do with the Hellcat I will buy KMP if I want ARF or I will go and buy laser parts and build it from plans. Yes it will take longer (I´m slow, so slow) but I will end up with plane I like and it look like the real thing just my 2c If someone is happy with CMP good for him and I don´t want to poison his passion for this planes
