RE: OS .12 cv LSN
Thanks MCS, After some serious searching my local HS was able to find the carb and the part has been ordered. Just in case there might be someone else in need of a part, it is .12 cv 21481000. Walkin

OS .12 cv LSN
Hello everyone, I have a RC10GT that is probably 10 years old now that has an OS .12 CV motor on it. I got the car out and after looking the motor over I found that LSN needle was missing. Is it possible to just replace that needle? I don't want to change the motor because it is a little beast. I was hoping I could find the carb and just buy the needle. Is it a specific item or can other needle work with that carb? Also what do you recommend I use to give the motor and carb a good cleaning with before I put it back on the car. Thanks for any help, Walkin

rc10gt brake/carb adjustment
Hello everyone, I have a quick question that I tried to find the answer to. I bought an rc10gt 9 years ago that has been in the barn for the last 3 or 4 years. I Ibought a new tx/rx today and was able to start the truck and run it gently around the track today. The problem I have is that I need some adjustment to the brake/carb. If I hit the brake the truck turns off. If I remember correctly there is an adjustment on the carb that I can use to take care of this. Any help would be great or if I am off in my thinking a push in the right direction. Thanks, Walkin

Anyway he is a pretty good driver but I do expect things to break. What parts you peeps recommmend to get extra? Thanks

RE: RC10GT Tx/Rx
Hey, sorry for the slow reply. There is a problem with the electronics. The car has been in the barn for the last 3 or 4 years and I have lost the Tx :(. It is an old Towerhobbies system3000 and I thought I would just replace the Tx and Rx. I dont wanna spend alot since all it will be used for is to run on a homemade track I am building for my son. Thx.

RC10GT Tx/Rx
Hello everyone, I have a quick question about a RC10GT Tx/RX. I have a RC10GT that I bought from TowerHobbies about 10 yrs ago that I want to start playing with again. I got the car out and after about 10 pulls tha motor fired up an ran fine. Anyway, I need a new Tx/Rx for it and was wondering what you folks might recommend. I dont really need anything outragous, just something to replace the original TX/Rx. Walkin

RE: I building a rc track. Info needed!!!
Hello everyone, I am going to build a RC track for my sons and a few frinds that have 1/10 scale cars but mainly for my 2 sons to run their nitro sports. I have attached a paint diagram of the track and would like some input for everyone. Equipment, materials and muscle I have, design and what will and will not work is what I need help with. Please be gentle about the diagram, paint is a pain and it is a very basic design. Thanks, Walkin

Building a RC track
Hello everryone and let me say first that if this is in the wrong forum, just let me know I will move it. My 9 and 13 year old sons have been playing with RC for a while now and both have been after me to build a track in my back yard. I have about a spot that is about 50 ft long and as wide as I want it that is away from any of my wife's projects. I was wondering what size would be a minimun for running 1/8 scale cars on it. There may be at the most 4 or 5 cars on the track at a time. I have an idea of the design, I just want to make sure I have the demisions right so it is enjoyable driving. Thanks, Walkin

RE: Duratrax Firehammer Radio
Thanks for the info Bax. I will have to sent it off I guess. I was hoping it would be something simple as I was suppose to go race with some friends Saturday. I may just go buy a new TX or try to find a friend with one to use this weekend until I get the one I send in back.

Duratrax Firehammer Radio
I have a question about my radio for my Duratrax Firehammer 1/5 scale car. Some background....I have had the car for about 2 yrs now and didn't run it all last year for various reasons. Well I got the car out over the weekend, charged the battery on the car, new batteries in the TX and drove the car for about a half a tank of gas. I started noticing that the battery low light was coming on the TX and that the failsafe on the car was engaging. Thinking I must have gotten a bad batch of batteries I replaced the ones in the TX and I still get the low battery indicator. I have a charge meter on the car and it shows a full charge on the car. The radio system for the car is a Futaba 2PEKA FM Radio. I can't figure out why the TX would show a low battery when I have replaced all the batteries with new ones and it immediately shows a low battery. Any ideas...... Thx

Alpha 40 Trainer
Hello all, I am going to purchase my first plane this weekend and learn to start flying. I have always had an interest in flying R/C planes and now it seems my 7 year old son, after seeing some being flown last weekend, has an interest as well. There will be a huge event in Greenville, NC this Saturday that we are going to attend and I am sure that it will make my wife very happy since she knows I want to buy a plane. Anyway, just rambling, I am going to purchase the Alpha Trainer 40 ARF plane and learn to fly that plane unless someone can tell why I shouldn't because this paticular plane has "this" problem. Thanks for any advice. Walkin

Hey Bigger, Yah I oredered the spur gear and motor mounts for the buggy and will continue to use the stock pinion gear unless you guys say different. The only reason I wanted to keep using it was so I would have some kind of relief if something went wrong. Walkingtall

Noob radio question
Hello all, I have what may be a completely stupid question but I thought I would ask anyway. I currently have a Firehammer 1/5 buggy that is FM, a Traxxas Nitro Sport and Traxxas Revo which are both AM. Are there TX made that will let me run all these cars using one TX? I hate taking three different TX with me and the batteries to keep them alive are a pain. Walkingtall

Revo 2.5R tranny question
Heya peeps, I just bought a 6 mth old, very well taken care of Revo 2.5R from a guy I work with for $220.00. Well the only thing he tells me is wrong with it is a gear in the tranny is stripped and needs to be replaced. I took the tranny apart and I think it is the main drive gear is indeed stripped and will need replacing. My question is, is this normal for this truck or could it be a tranny problem or a user problem [sm=tongue_smile.gif]. I was also wondering if there was a chart/guide that might tell what shock settings I would use for stiffer or softer suspension. Thx
