Savage X SS ?'S
Thinking about building a Savage X SS kit. What is the best bang for the buck radio & servos. I'm a airplane guy and fly JR - Spec. Do not know much about what ground radio's have to offer. What's important what's not. Just going to use it to play with, not any racing. Any input would be helpfull. Thanks Eric

RE: Balsa USA 1/4 Scale Nieuport 28 Build
I too have looked in amazement at some of the ScaleBuilder threads. Well..... This weekend the build of my Nieuport will take a little detour. I recently watched a show on how Lego attempts to appeal to their customers, young and old. By attracting adults they retain their loyal customers. Well, my wife was at the mall with her dad and they went past the Lego store. When they walked past she saw something. She couldn't help but purchase a Sopwith Camel for me which was proudly displayed at the store. It looks pretty good and even has functioning elevators and ailerons, functioned via the stick in the cockpit. Should be an entertaining build. Fortunately I am over 14 so I am not restricted by the age limit. SunDevilPilot A DA50 should about right ?

Why? I thought everyone on the internet (especially forums like this) are experts :) The only experts I know, are my wife and her mother. But the only thing they know about, is everything.

Then, you will not have to worry about tail heavy especially if yuo build the tail light. But if you add a light to the tail wouldn't that make the tail heavy? Sorry couldn't help myself. :)

RE: DA 100 Carb problems
Ok, I feel stupid, but just forcing fuel up to and into the carb did the trick. Adjusted high end a little and I have good idle rpm and nice transition. Just never expierenced a carb that didn't want to draw fuel with just a choke and the throttle cracked. Thanks for the help everyone.

I also did double check my tank set up, and all of the lines, every thing seems to be in good order.

RE: DA 100 Carb problems
The carb I have on now is the new one from DA. I did check to make the sure fork and diafram are hooked up. The back side cover has four screws, I took it off to make sure that the gasket and flapper is correct. There is no screen that I could see. The fact that it is dry makes sence. My idea is to force a prime by putting some pressure in the tank while pulling it thourgh. Going to try that today when I get a chance. Thanks for all the help and advice.

Bought the engine used from a reputable person, and it was built in 2005. Pulled the plugs when I got it and they looked fine. Engine has good compression. I have removed the plugs and listened to he reeds they seen to be doing thier thing? At this point I'm looking at sending it off to DA. Unless tiher is just something I'm not doing right or overlooking

RE: DA 100 Carb problems
He we go. I was having problems with my DA 100 carb. Decided to buy a new one and rebuild the one that can on the engine. Got the new gasket set and rebuilt the old carb. Put it on and had the same problem, will not draw fuel. So, I took out the fuel tank to check it out, eveything looks fine. Checked out all the lines for leaks or cracks, they look fine. Took off old carb, swapped out control link stuff, put new carb on. New carb will not draw fuel either. I've been farting around with glow and gas engines for arond twenty years or so. I am baffled as to what he problem is ??

RE: DA 100 Carb problems
Bought the engine used, this is my first atempt getting it ready to fly. Engine has good compresion, and the price was right. If all I have to do rebuild the carb or buy a new one I'm still money ahead.
