Any word on the gear fit and function? I could probably afford a set of these pretty quickly, and get busy on my 310! Bryan

I believe Hitec 645mg servos will work fine, and are reasonable, especially if you run them on 6 volts.

A hell of a lot of building, but defiantely an enjoyable project! I have the DS plans for the B17, but then I got a deal on an American Eagle kit, so I'll be building that one instead. I'dlove to build the 29! I also have an American Eagle B25 in the wings, you got to love these bombers! Bryan

RE: Another Dick Barron Stearman...
How are you doing the landin gear on this plane? I have one that I bought built, but needs a ton of work. I had stalled out on repairing it also, but I got a cockpit kit and dummy radial for it for Christmas, and have kind of been itching to work on it again. I believe I have a complete set of plans, would you be willing to copy or email the instructions for me? I'd gladly cover your cost. Thanks! Bryan

Stick, I mean, I know we are among friends here, but I don't think I would tell anyone that I bought a metallic purple FW190!LOL! Did you promptly remove the covering, and dirty it up in a much needed fashion?

RE: Building a Dynaflite Super Decathlon
Looks like that airplane wasn't given sufficient time on the runway to build speed, pulled up to abrptly, and snapped to the right. No offense meant, but it looks like it COULD be just a little ahead of it's pilot. Is this the airplane with the built in twist to the wing? That might explain it's flight characteristics also. Just my opinion. Bryan

RE: who makes the best scale P-51
Interesting thread here, guys! I have the Bud Nosen and the TF kits both, and am contiplating selling both and building a Ziroli, but now I don't know. I have a Byrons 4 blade prop drive I want to install in the TF, but maybe a Ziroli with the Mick Reeves gear drive for the G62? Money is a consideration with me, but maybe I just need to collect pieces longer and build one good one. I know for sure I like Sierra gear better, as far as asthetics go anyways. I'd like my Mustang to have a near scale prop, as this was a very prominate feature of the full scale. What do you guys think? I'm also considering the glass fuse from Ziroli. Thanks, Bryan

Guys, I have a NIP set of engine nacelles and decals for this plane I would sell or trade if anyone needs them. I am building mine, nearly finished, and I made nacelles and am making cowlings to make it look more like a Beech Duke, so I won't need these. Hopefully someone can use them. Thanks, Bryan

RE: American Eagle B-17 Build
I think I would call Bob at Quality Fiberglass and inquire about this. Bob is a pretty talented guy, and has built these airplanes. He's the one that makes the kits. His number is on the American Eagle website. He may be able to give you some help, couldn't hurt to call him. If nothing else, maybe it'll make him aware of a problem he can fix on future kits. Keep going, almost there! Bryan

RE: Bob Nelitz 1/3 Scale J-3 Short Kit build
Don't want to step on any toes, but there was an ad here very recently for someone selling the laser cut metal parts for the Nelitz cub here on RCU. DOn't know who it was, and the ad is gone. I believe they were asking 40 bucks for the set and had several to sell. Any help would be appreciated. Myself and two buddies want a set, I think we are going to build three of these! THanks for the help! Bryan

Speedbrake, I have his address, as I actually went to his house and got the stuff I have. I have been waiting on the other parts for a couple of months now at least, and haven't been able to reach Bob for at least a couple of weeks or more. Just wanted to see if anyone else had been in contact with him. Thanks! Bryan

Is anyone having any luck getting hold of Bob Sealy at Quality Fiberglass(aka American Eagle)? I have been trying for some time now, he owes me some clear plastic parts for my 17 and also for a B25 kit I bought from him a few months ago, but I can't seem to reach him or get a return phone call. Hope all is well with him. Thanks, Bryan

RE: Topflite Mustang prop?
Try a Zinger 18 6-10 on it and see what happens. My 41's like that prop. As far as the engine, I've seen the B model fly, painted and all, with a G38, so I know the 41 will fly tat bird. Stupid question, but have you set the carb needles properly? Maybe an adjustment is in order. The US41 is a Quadra, and they have been flying airplanes for a long time.
