RE: Thunder Cat 31
ORIGINAL: erolos hi to all.i bought tc31 last year and used it stock form about 1 gallon.i m using %20 byron fuels and prather 220 prop.then i wanted to put some slight modifications on my cat.firstly i removed head shim then balanced&sharpened&polished the prop and finally changed the pipe because stock one was too noisy.i bought .21 purple pipe from www.justengines.com. because i saw it from this tc31 thread.last weekend i wanted to try my boat but something went wrong i think?formerly with stock pipe i used 2 1/4(2.25) High Speed Needle settings but when i passed new pipe it drop to 1 1/8(1.15).i dont know if its normal or not?was it from new pipe or what else?i checked engine temperature after each run and that was ok but pipe and header were too hot.now i have m445 prop and %30 byron fuel in my hand but what can i do with new leaner HSN position?if its normal i will use new prop and fuel on my boat.can anyone say something for me about this?thanks. Â Â ps:sorry about my english but i think its ok for understanding my problem!
if the pipe manufacturer recommended an engine range like from .21 to .32 then probably it's fine, as far as i can remember my HSN set below 2 turns..let us know how this thing works for you.

RE: TURNIGY 1:4 Scale Brushless GoKart ARR
what's going on here?[:D] well, i found out that the bearing holding the front gear went bad and waiting my order to come,,,,,,,,so, i did a little mod, i shimmed the steering joints with lexan and now it's zero wobble, i'm hoping this will help the stability during high speed. also did a rear and front spoiler, as you can see in previous pics the spoiler color is kinda neon green and doesn't much the color so i dyed it and it works, the front spoiler doesn't looks good but i'l wait until i test it if it works, hoping this will prevent the gokart from blowning over. i'm also, working on driver, i want the arms and head will move as the gokart steers but i'm stink thinking[8|] at this time on how to... looking forward to test the effect of the spoilers, working to push this thing to 60's mph. sorry, can't post pics[:@]

RE: large electric outboard motor
ORIGINAL: coriolan Another option for more power: http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=hpi-3.5-bullet-drive
i think this is for 3.5 size OB, and it's too small for a 47" hull, you might need the K&b .67 lower unit.

RE: TURNIGY 1:4 Scale Brushless GoKart ARR
at last my computer allows me to post pics... btw, guess what guys?,,i did a personal speed test this pm. weather here was in 50's with 5 to10 mph wind but sunny. so, i have 2 nimh and 2 11.1 lipo and stock motor, garmin 101 gps,, i ran the nimh batt hitting the speed of 32-34 mph give and take couple of miles, for me not bad, well, after 40 minute run both nimh drained then i took the lipo, kinda worried at first coz i might toast the motor but how will i know?[;)],,after hooking the lipo did couple warm up, no sign of heat or smoke this thing is just another wild beast to tame ,just to much power, it needs a really easy squeeze of the throttle otherwise spinning all over the place. after getting used to drive with lipo, i proceed speed test thing, it take somewhere 180-240 ft before i could wot, at this distance kinda hard to see it,,,to surprise me i'm getting a gps reading from 45-51.4 mph as my top speed[:D]..
