pretty cool. love the tanks and pin-ups. when i did 1/35 scale dioramas i didn't deviate from what the combatants actually did. however in RC you almost have to customize. it's a blast and adds animation to please those who might not appreciate true scale tanks. lets face it ,most tanks were not as colorful as the aircraft flown by their comerads. i also do RC aircraft and cars/monster trucks. i love to do a cool airbrush job on a car/truck or reproduce a cool airplane color scheme. your tanks look awesome!

the idler arm moves the wheel down and forward,correcting the hl position. it is not too hard to install. a dremel comes in handy as does a small exacto saw blade. you will also need to drill out the hole 1/2 way to allow the arm to swing.be careful when drilling.

hl panzer iv
i'm doing a hl panzer iv f1 in dak colors.it seems to me that there is excessie recessed bolt detail moulded into the turret and the front upper hull that was not on the real tank. does anybody have pics showing they did exist? my references do not show them and pics of the tamiya do not either.

last time i was in aberdeen was 1988. the tanks in the pics look exactly the same as then. too bad our government dosen't take care of them. one day someone will realize the treasures they have and it will cost 10 times more to repair them than it would if they did it now.

you can mix the different color leds. make sure you pick a circuit of around 2 volts(most of the small leds operate around that voltage) and that you add the resistors for each led.

the batteries hat came with the hl tanks i use for my nitro engine roto start. i have better ones to run the tank.

probably works better than the stock spring. i doubled mine up by adding an extra leaf i made from the spring from a broken nitro engine pull start. it is better than the one leaf spring hl uses.

it only came with extra plastic links for display-no pins either.i'd also hate to add a plastic link with the metal tracks,the weak link. my tank also came with 2 of the climb ladder and no jack.i guess thats hl packaging.if anyone has a couple of extra links i would appreciate it.i hate to send to europe for just a couple of links.

they are.but if you compare it to pics of panzer ivs you can see it is a bit compressed.i'm getting the track tension device-mabey loosening the tracks a bit might help.they come with no slack from hl
