RE: RC Aerodyne 500 size Apache
I know what you mean! We have had nothing but wind. Some wind I can handle flying in but not the gust we have had. Well keep me posted I'm interested in what you think about how it flies. I like the wait of it, it makes it steadier.

RE: RC Aerodyne 500 size Apache
You are right, as long as i have something to fly while a take the time to build from scratch, i could handle it. They do have some heli fuse kits that are this way i might look into. Send me some pic's of planes you have built, i am always interested.

RE: RC Aerodyne 500 size Apache
I am using a 4 cell 5000 mah 40c bat. i get about 6 to 7 min. on it. the ESC will get about 110 degrees f. the bat. does not even get warm. i understand what you are saying about the ARF but i am just as gulty. At this point in time if i had to spend weeks or months actually building a plane or heli. i would not fly it, I would be afraid to[8|] but i do respect the person that does and wish I had the skills!

RE: RC Aerodyne 500 size Apache
It's coming along very well, I had to wait for decent weather to finish testing the mechanics. it has been very windy. So you can't see the video? I click on it and it goes straight to it??????

RE: RC Aerodyne 500 size Apache
Mike and Joe, i made a short video of the Apache. it is not very good and it was kind of windy but here it is. It flies very heavy. At 4.5 min flight time i still had 50% battery. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwQQDdtUKgQ

RE: RC Aerodyne 500 size Apache
Hi Latinflyer, you will not be able to use standard servos on a 500 size mechanics. read back on our post and you will see what was used and some issues we had with this kit. What mech's do you have? RC Aerodyne sell's the muti blade heads and state with thier system you may not need the flybarless sytem but I am not an expert with flybarless. As you attach the engines and such use CA with an excelerator instead of epoxy.

RE: Chaos 600/ UH-1B
Hey, I always appreciate any and all information i can get. Thank you for the advice. i plan on wrapping the wires to protect them but either way that is good advice to always follow. if these mechanics give me to mutch trouble, it will be my last chaos. At least for a scale build.

RE: Chaos 600/ UH-1B
Hey Mike, sorry to hear about the surgery, hope all is ok. I am ready for flight testing but it has been cold and windy. I did notice that the CF blades that came with it are out of balance, it took a lot of tape to fix. I will re-balance for a third time to insure that it is not me. I also orderd a cock pit for the UH-1B, I just need to find the correct size pilots. As soon as I am done testing I will do more pic's on installation.

When putting the tail slidder together do not overtighten this screw, you will have a sticky slide.

RE: Chaos 600/ UH-1B
Sorry I had to go out of state for an emergancy, I am back now! I should get 1800 to 2000 rpm and no less than 6-7 min. If needed i will go to 6 cell. If the motor/bat or ECS get to hot. I will post more pic's soon. I got my motor and servos in while I was gone. Hey Mike, if you like post all your pic's here of your new stuff. That way no need to bounce around.
