i have a night vapor to a 106 inch span 55 cc gas powered stick with several glow and electrics in between them, i even have 2 planes that are over 17 years old (a aerostar 40 trainer and a big stick .60)

i never use the wall chargers that come with my airtronics radios, i use a peak detection charger, as most of my battery packs are 6v 2000 ma or larger

i was charging the NImh batteries in my GP giant big stick when i smelled smoke and noticed it coming out of it, i was lucky i was nearby when it started smoldering, so LiPO's are not the only ones to watch out for

i tried the 1600 nimh batteries , they worked better than the stock one , but not good enough so i bought a turnigy 2.6 3 cell lipo for a jr radio , swapped the positive and negitive pins around in the connector, now it lasts a long time , i should have done it a long time ago but i did not less than 14 bucks too

if i remember right the rd8000 is FHSS 1 and the SD10 is FHSS 3 and from what i have heard that you can select which one on the SD 10

i know that in the little rock area the plane called a hooker is a highly modified version, it was enlarged to some where around a 72 in span , , made into a tail dragger , powered with a four stroke 91 or 100,i am told there is a few people flying 90 to 100 inch versions at the club in brant or benton, i have a 108 in span version framed out on the work bench right now for a 55cc engine

Everette thanks for the support ,all i can say is i have never experienced that kind and level of pain before and i sure dont want to again,i finally can get up and move around a little now without being in severe pain and i can drive a little now , doc thinks i will recover to about 50% of where i used to be before the injury its a long slow road
